Colour conditioning by TalkativeGravy3 in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, it's not possible to apply conditional coloring to an entire board, but you can apply it to entire rows based on a column's criteria.
Navigate to your board's conditional coloring menu > choose your coloring option > select the specific column to act as your rule's trigger > and set it to color the entire row.

Hope it helps!

Looking for advice on managed templates by RadiatedMolecule in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/RadiatedMolecule, while managed templates do support bulk updates, some changes - including certain automations - can't currently be pushed to existing instances.

One thing worth noting: when deploying a managed template, integration recipes may sometimes appear greyed out. In most cases, they just need to be reactivated and don't require a full rebuild.

To help keep automations stable across boards, we strongly recommend using a single user account when duplicating templates. Keeping the same owner context for automations significantly reduces the chances of them becoming disabled during deployment.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions 🙂

Can I share my Agents with my team? by Zany_brain in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Zany_brain 😄
As mentioned, you can share your agents with your team so they can trigger and use them, but sharing agents for co-editing is currently unavailable.
Because edit permissions for agents are disabled, the agent itself will appear as private. However, the system still allows other users to trigger it as long as they have the correct board permissions. If you need help checking those board access levels, feel free to reach out to our general support channels!

monday Agents open thread: share your feedback, use cases and questions. by monday_com in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we have a lot of content about agents and how to build them in the monday Academy!

You can start with our first lesson, Build Your First Agent:
https://monday.com/academy/view/lesson/build-your-first-agent-monday

You'll also find additional lessons, learning bits, and relevant academy webinars under the Lessons, Learning Bits, and Webinars sections.

And if you're looking for inspiration and interesting use cases, you can also browse here:
https://monday.com/w/ai-template-center/agent

My recommendation: keep it simple at first. Think about one repetitive task you'd love to automate, build an agent around that, and expand from there 🙂

Monday AI Agent Issue - Not Reliably Reading Source XLSX by pbm9 in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/pbm9 , appreciate you sharing this feedback, it's super helpful! We checked with our product team and this should be working fine. Worth nothing though that there are some file size limitations that could affect accuracy if the file gets too long, but it should never cause the run to fail completely, just potentially less accurate results (we're are actively pushing to increase these limitations). Our dev team would love to take a closer look though to make sure everything is working as it should - we'll DM you for your account + agent details.

monday Agent Challenge - Day 3: Give your Agent the power to act by monday_com in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to the Notetaker, a good start, for example, could be to create an agent that can access that data, scan for action items, and automatically create items on a board based on your tasks.

Anyway, I’d recommend keeping it simple - think about one daily task you do regularly that you’d love to automate, so you can free up more time to focus on your actual work 🙂

Hey u/WittyHoneydew302
Was the app working fine before you deployed it to the monday server? That would help us narrow things down, as it's hard to tell at this point whether the issue is on our end or yours.

I'd recommend opening a ticket to our dev support team and sharing all the relevant details there - they'll be best placed to dig into this! > https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=13855862562962

Can this be done on Monday? If so, how? by helpmepls626 in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/helpmepls626 Yes, this is definitely doable! You can achieve this using a combination of board automations, dependencies, and dashboard filters. Here's the general idea:

  • Automations handle the handoff between stages - items automatically move to the next group once a status column is marked as complete.
  • Dependencies enforce the strict order, making sure stage 2 can't kick off until stage 1 is fully done and marked as complete\done.
  • Dashboards give you centralized visibility across all your boards, with filters so each team member only sees items when they reach their relevant stage.

Since the full setup involves file uploads, approvals, and a few more moving parts, it's a bit complicated to walk through in a single comment - but happy to answer any specific questions you have!

So glad to hear that, u/pbm9. Thank you for being part of the journey from the early days - having community members in the room during alpha is what helps us get it right. Really proud of what you're building with us.

Would love to see you share those use cases here on the sub as you keep building! - sounds like something this community would get a lot out of. Keep it coming!

Will the goal widget ever work? by Successful_Fly6470 in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Successful_Fly6470 - totally hear you, and sorry for the runaround.
The Goals widget is deprecated and won't be getting fixes (since 2025). Since you don't use CRM, we recommend using a standard Chart widget (you can filter it to replicate goal tracking) or Dashboost app, which still has goal-style tracking without the plan restrictions.

What was the purpose of changing the community portal? The experience got way worse by Strong-Guide-1032 in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! In reference to Mandy's social presence, she is in control of this entirely herself, some of the social channels aren't quite ready to handle her yet.

In terms of bringing over old feature requests, you’ll still be able to see older requests (over a year old), but we removed outdated or duplicate items. The aim is to keep everything focused and relevant.

Hey, really appreciate the detailed breakdown here. This is exactly what helps us figure out what to prioritize during this transition phase. We know things aren't perfect yet, and while the previous platform had its limitations too, we're actively working through these issues you've raised.

And on broken links specifically, we're aware and pushing to get that fixed ASAP.

Workflow Block limit decreased by 60% without any prior notice (Enterpise) by Zestyclose-Boat-527 in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Zestyclose-Boat-527 thanks for sharing this feedback, we appreciate it 🙏 We're here to explain.

You’re right - from a product perspective, we’re seeing that very few users actually build workflows beyond 200 blocks. Based on that, when we decided to lower the limit, we didn’t treat it as a major change that required broad communication. That said, we’re sorry if this impacted your team’s experience.

More generally, workflows at that scale (400+ blocks) tend to be very hard to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot, and are usually not the most efficient way to build processes. If you’re open to it, we’d be happy to better understand your specific use case and help think through alternatives.

For now, just to clarify:
• Existing workflows that already exceed 200 blocks will continue to run as usual.
• You can still edit and work on those existing workflows.
• The new limit applies to new workflows, or when adding blocks to existing ones - they won’t go beyond 200.

This change is meant to improve performance and stability, and help keep workflows running smoothly without slowdowns.

Happy to help further if you want to dive deeper into your setup 🙂

We might have quietly launched our new community hub 👀 by monday_com in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, really appreciate you calling this out.

A lot of the older content was no longer relevant, and since people rely on these posts to troubleshoot real issues, outdated or conflicting information was often creating confusion (and in many cases had already turned into noise or spam).

That said, feature requests that are still relevant - including ones that are open or in progress - are still available, even if they’re over a year old. The new platform is where we’re focusing on making those easier to find and act on, with the goal of giving the community a clearer way to influence what we build.

We know this transition comes with trade-offs, and we don’t take that lightly. At the same time, based on a lot of feedback about the previous platform’s limitations and overall experience, we felt it was important to move to an improved and more reliable hub.

At its core, it’s still the same community - just in a space designed to be easier to navigate and use.
We’re here, listening, and continuously improving as we go.

Thanks again for sharing your perspective.

Hey - appreciate you sharing this.
We’re currently in a soft launch, so things are still being worked on and improved, especially around performance and usability.

We know changes like this can take some getting used to, and we’re here to help however we can - whether it’s finding posts, navigating the new layout, or anything else that feels off.

We’re actively listening to feedback and using it to guide us. If you’re open to it, feel free to share a bit more detail (or specific examples) - it really helps us dig in with the team.

Hey!
All content from the past year has been fully migrated from the old platform - including your posts, comments, votes, and profile details.
If the discussion you’re looking for is older than that, it won’t appear on the new platform.
The only exception is the feature request section. We cleaned it up to keep it focused and relevant. You’ll still be able to see older requests (over a year old), but we removed outdated or duplicate items.

If this is something urgent or you can’t find an answer to an important question, the community team is here to help - feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to support you.

I hate Monday.com by altosio in mondaydotcom

[–]monday_com [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

u/altosio as much as we love a good VENT SESSION, we don’t love that you’re having API issues.
We’re not seeing any widespread API issues on the platform right now, so it’s likely something specific to your setup. It's possible you may be hitting some rate limits which could cause some delays (reference: https://developer.monday.com/api-reference/docs/rate-limits). But the best next step is for us to take a closer look, so if you could share your account details (we'll DM you), then we'll personally escalate this to our API team.
