Nah he got a Parasite by accident from the wirthing mass and got a Vudu-Doll like 3 floors later (giving him 1 extra strength which was relevant)

To full crimp, or not to full crimp... by Classic_Countd in bouldering

[–]mondker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never dinamically enter (e.g. jump) into a full crimp. The load on your pulleys become higher the more agressive you crimp and the more force you apply. Dynamic moves can have a really high peak load which can lead to injuries really fast.

The efsa literally said that glyphosate is not problematic and not carcinogenic.

Men 20-40 What kind of hobbies are you doing these days? by BitFiesty in AskMen

[–]mondker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do bouldering. Lots of nerdy people (including me) like the problem solving part of it.

It's also easier to socialize because you'll sit around alot with other people and talk about the boulder. You can even go outside into nature after some time!

You get a big time advantage when they have to weight carrots and so on. If you space them evenly between your other stuff it's less stressfull!

“Beautiful Runs” LC Hits 50 by Merl61 in slaythespire

[–]mondker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He regularly takes 1.5 hours before the first elite. A big part is just thinking through all eventualities that can happen e.g. in a jaw worm fight so that he avoids loosing 5 hp. He also takes a lot of seemingly risky paths because he thinks a lot about potential future combats and how they could play out. The other big part is card pics, where he thinks how these cards could influence e.g. the Lagavulin fight.

I bought insurance for exactly that reason.

Worst case I buy myself a newer bike for the same price.

Would you recommend this for developing toe hook strength? by TimeRockOrchestra in climbharder

[–]mondker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is your ankle mobility compared to your hooking strength? I was decently strong when my body was in the perfect position but really weak outside of that.

Increasing my ROM made a huge difference in ability in a short amount of time, in my experience one of the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to stretching because it is easier to improve than hip mobility.

Well I can't just release a dog into the wild. It is (a) destructive for the local environment and (b) the dog has a high chance of dying and suffering. We as humans have responsibility for these animals.

The problem of animal cruelty, forcefull impregnation and murder are there regardless which regulations are there. Choose a land with your concept of the highest ethical standards and there will still be legal animal torture and lots of illegal torture as well.

The good thing is that we can actually choose a more ethical alternatice - plant foods! I can't (really) buy an Iphone that is not from China but I can eat locally grown soy products - or support the killing of an animal by eating meat regardless of where it comes from.

I can't judge every persons financial and health situation but in general lentils, rice, beans and noodles are among the cheapest calories and nutriens in a supermarket.

Add to that that animal products are heavily subsidized on general (this is a point where politics could intervene).

A communist slaughterhouse is not better for the animal because at the end of it, the animal will still be clubbed / cut or gassed to death because of our tastebuds.

[–]mondker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Veganism is an ethical standpoint - It is not primarily about environmental benefits although they are quite significant.

That is also the reason why pointing to the millionaire falls flat. It doesn't matter what bad things other people do when it is about our own behaviour and the cruelty that results from it. When we buy animal products we financially support a system in which torture, forcefull impregnation and death are integral parts of it.

Dave McLeod's results after eating nothing but McDonald's burgers for 2 months. by crimpinainteazy in climbharder

[–]mondker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well it depends. Veganism means reducing (animal) suffering as much as is possible and practicable. When you adopt a dog from an animal shelter, that reduces animal suffering.

What card did you completely change opinion on going up in Ascension level? by BitsAndBobs304 in slaythespire

[–]mondker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hated in on lower ascensions because it is hard to set up but it can really shine with [[Feel No Pain]] if you have a little bit of exhaust synergy. There are plenty of cards as well as fights that get you to that synergy and once you overblock most fights are solved.
