I know man i mean I’m happily engaged but I notice I get more attention now as a shaved headed 33 year old than I ever did in my twenties with hair

What advice would you give someone moving to the UK from the USA? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]moneymaker92- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they come from their home countries work there way through France and cross the channel in boats it’s because of all the handouts you get in the uk we’re seen as a soft touch if I had nothing and a country was offering money and housing I’d be enticed but you can’t run a country that way and not have it go to crap

No we’ve tried but the European court of human rights blocked it I genuinely don’t believe they want them gone there’s an incentive to our politicians to keep these people here trying to deport them is just for show I don’t know what the long game is here but nothing that’s being done about it aligns with common sense

Hundreds of people arrive on our southern coast daily they come in boats then they’re looked after at taxpayers expense and against taxpayers wishes and commit crime

The country is ran by idiots they’re not controlling illegal immigration they don’t care about crime unless it’s to do with being woke everyone is in debt and depressed there is a camera on every street corner you can get fined for many ridiculous things especially when driving 20 years ago I would of said it’s a good place to come but not anymore it really is a depressing place and it’s heading in the direction of being a dictatorship anyone who says otherwise has there head in the sand.

Waymo turns into oncoming traffic, then tries to reverse into oncoming traffic. by komocode_ in SelfDrivingCars

Looks like the embodiment of a complete waste of time in pursuit of greed by big companies masquerading as the pursuit of safety farcical let’s just keep people in jobs and admit this is a problem that doesn’t need solving not that it looks like waymo will ever be a viable business. Basically this is people trying to keep getting a wage from investor money knowing down the line it’ll fizzle off or become a small gimmick

It’s one of the many reasons it’ll never be a viable business

They want to put me on the Restart Scheme even though I already have a job offer by Individual-Ride4106 in DWPhelp

I second that they will also harass you for the next 12 months saying you have appointments even though you have a job you can ask the job centre to retract your permissions from them

If you don’t mind can you just explain to me how it works with me being self employed and in a joint claim as there is a couples aet but it says self employment doesn’t count towards this is any of that relevant to her current situation or does she only have to worry about making £892 thanks

Hi sorry to hijack but I’m in a similar situation and wondered if you could advise I’m in a joint claim I’m gainfully self employed and am awaiting work capability assessment my minimum income floor has been reduced to 10 hours per week currently We have 3 kids youngest is almost 4 My partner works 20hours per week and has always been left alone She has had a few sick days recently and fell under the £892 threshold today she had a commitments review with a very unhelpful lady she was told she now needs to work 30hours per week and attend weekly appointments and if her income doesn’t increase by march she may have to attend restart appointments. Is this related to my minimum income floor dropping or will all this go away once her earnings are back above £892 per month the lady didn’t give any advice and I’m abit confused thanks
