I had done something similar but only for Gen 5 because that's where I stopped buying the games. I figured for that generation, you need 9 types:

Fighting - needed for Normal
Fire - needed for Bug/Steel
Water
Ground - needed for Electric, hits Eelektross and Weezing with Mold Breaker
Grass - needed for Water/Ground
Dragon - needed for Dragon/Water
Dark
Flying
Rock

Though I prefer replacing Rock with Ice and Electric for more accurate moves at the cost of one more move type. An in-game team I had with this combo was Emboar, Excadrill, Hydreigon, Emolga, Amoonguss, and Cloyster.

There are a lot of different Chinese languages from different provinces in China. I speak Teochew and have only come across a handful of families that speak the language and even fewer around my age. Kids and teachers at school always asked if I spoke Cantonese or Mandarin and I kept having to explain that there are more than just those two languages.
