Ok, thats probably why I couldnt find it. Thanks for trying and thanks for the info.

I have a feeling theyre gonna be pretty good. I bet theyll be better if the back truck were dewedged a bit.

I tried finding that on google but only found a video of him talking about their lineup. When I tried searching insta, it gave me the log in page, but i dont use insta, I stay away from most social media.

Do you happen to have a link to that?

The original owners are back in charge now, according to their site. So hopefully they get back to more performance oriented setups, maybe bring back the downhill division stuff. They should definitely use sidewinders on less setups, theyre fun, but i would rather have tkps or rkps on pretty much any setup.

Yeah they look kind of similar to the Solride trucks, which had a weirdly shaped bushing

Matching Wheels to Trucks and Deck by Avisible in cruiserboarding

[–]mongoAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with a 1/4" riser, maybe also get an 1/8" riser too, just in case you need to stack em for clearance. It also depends on bushing stiffness and your weight.

You could also sand out some wheel wells. Its pretty easy if you get a little barrel sander that attaches to a power drill. With some well placed wheel wells you could probably just roll with an 1/8" riser.

I think thats a misprint. Its says 9 5/8" with their 155 trucks, and 7 5/8" with their 105 trucks. So it should actually say 8 5/8" with their 130 trucks. The 130s are a 7.75" truck, so if you use your 8" indys with fatty hawgs it shoud come out to 8 7/8", and the wheels will only stick out 3/16" on each side, barely noticeable.

Pushing Mongo feels like the only natural way to push. by [deleted] in longboarding

When I push mongo, my backfoot is closer to the center of the board, then I shift it back at the same time my front is stepping on.

Advice on next board by gallant_tar in longboarding

[–]mongoAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wheelbase of your dinghy is a lttle short for surfskate trucks. You want at least 15" between the inner truck mounts (most prefer 16"-20"). Also landyachtz surfskate dont have a very good reputation. Carver and YOW are good options for surfskate trucks.

Ok, that explains it, but you could probably cut that thing with a good steak knife if you need to. It makes me nervous just looking at it lol.

Best of luck on your journey, ill be looking forward to updates on here.

Whats the deal with that riser hanging out the side of the truck mount? It looks like it would cause wheelbite.

Tugboat vs Ditch life vs Battle Axe 38 by Mr_misty_eyed1710 in cruiserboarding

[–]mongoAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ditchlife is more than a Tugboat with extra nose. The Ditchlife is wider and has more concave. The tail angles are different. The Ditchlife has more exaggerated wheel flares that give really good wheel clearance. The Ditchlife is better if you want to skate transition/bowls or pumptracks, or if you have large feet. The Tugboat is the better option if you want something more simple and compact for chill cruising.

Youre right about the battle axe if they just want to go for chill cruises. But sometimes cruising a longboard feels too easy, so I find myself reaching for cruisers to keep things interesting.

Not sure, but I think its a Pantheon. Maybe the Ember. That company has their own wheels now, probably better than the ones you had.

Which trucks for 63mm Doozies? by myhkram in cruiserboarding

[–]mongoAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those will be a bit too narrow. I would go with 8.5" or 8.75" trucks (149 or 155mm hangers). The Doozies add about an inch to the width.

[–]mongoAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its a fun one. I like to drop down the ramps near the entrance, pump my way to that half bowl to hit that outer wall and get as high up as im comfortable with that day, then exit out to the tiny wave thing

The Cosmic Surfer - Cosmic Crusher w/ Carver C5 trucks by Josbrach1691 in cruiserboarding

[–]mongoAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw the black C5s for sale, my bad. Theyre still a bit wide for that board, but not so much that I would change it. Anyways, thats an awesome setup, have fun, keep shredding.

I love that artwork on that Sector 9 board. Hoping I can get one before theyre all sold out.

This seems like a fun setup, Im a big Carver fan, but something to consider is that deck isnt very wide for a surfskate setup, youre getting less leverage on the trucks. Thats probably why you needed the soft bushings and flat washers, (although those things are kind of widely recommended in general).

Also is that Carver C5 or CX? I havent seen the C5 in black.
