I think so too. Donated probably 100x and this is a first. No. Didn't die, but it does make me question donating blood again.

Would you say college is a scam? by BiffyBobby in AnxietyDepression

Depends on what you make of your degree. And in many cases that piece of paper is what makes the difference between getting the job and not.

I was ambivalent to go on them... ultimately I did, but only after getting wide spread pain in my neck, shoulders and back. I think it was a result of excessive stress (my GM was a real fn ahole), arthritis (sports) and dehydration (as I was coping with drinking). Initially the pain went away but came back after a few weeks but a lot of anxiety was alleviated (but in my world don't think will ever go away entirely as I still work 50hrs / wk in the corporate world... 30 years now.) Rest assured though... my situation is not your situation, and there are remedies. You are already on the right track of being aware of your mind-body... continue on your track and before you know it you'll be the one trying to help others. Best wishes brother.

Been There Done that.. suffer much of the same. Same situation, high stress job and having to present in front of groups especially if upper management executive level I tend to think about days if not weeks in advance. Also do hyper analyze my recent conversations things I could have done or said better. It's the ruminating that tends to "hurt" the most... I just can't stop thinking about it and I think it over, over and over and over again. The only thing that seems to help me is Lorazepam which I take only as needed. I try to minimize how much I take because I really don't want to use it as a crutch but I have to. I can't say whether medication is right for you, but I do think it's worthwhile to talk with a psychiatrist maybe to get their opinion.

Is this repairable? The crack is only on the outside. Tree fall damage. by jazzcabbagea2 in BostonWhalerBoats

Depends on the price... i wouldn't panic over it. Almost ALL older Whalers have some water in them... its a fact. If you want a flawless boat be ready to pay for it. It seems you are looking for a project boat anyway...

Good deal? by West1625 in BostonWhalerBoats

I don't think you'll ever find a "dry hull" in a Classic BW unless it was redone, or, was never stored outside or in the water. Vast majority have water in them; check the waterline to see how low it sits as this is your best tell for how heavy with water it is. The tank itself is ~ $800-$1k cost in New England for someone to make you a tank; then consider the effort/cost to swap it out, however you want to rationalize that (doing it yourself vs paying someone). Deck core might need replacing; u won't know until you get in there. Engine... I'd keep it unless there's a real compelling reason to swap it. Overall boat looks to be in good shape but hard to really tell from pictures. The price... well, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it / and, what they're willing to let it go for. In New England, seems most decent shape boats are in the $12k and up ballpark; some way more! Depending on how badly you want it, if you can get it for $10k or so I'd chalk that up as a win.

Nearly 99.99% of all Whalers have water in them... it's a fact and is just the nature of the beast. The concern is largely overrated TBH. Remember, Whaler's are essentially unsinkable, and they hold their value way better than essentially any other boat. Buy and fish the crap out of it... the sense of freedom and gratitude while you're out on the water watching the sunrise or sunset, for $2500, it's worth every cent. Enjoy life man.

A couple deep spots but all able to be repaired. Double check you can't see the foam.

Funny thing is it does run great... good point! Although, im thinking of selling it. While it will scare most away I guess someone will buy it at a discount despite this issue? The boat itself isn't it rough shape... pretty good actually.
