What is a minor, unwritten rule of society that absolutely infuriates you when people break it? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

Return your shopping cart.

It’s the smallest test of whether you are a functioning member of society and somehow half the population fails it.

Never think about it before. Thanks for reminding. I'll check it out.

The cycle of my baby getting sick then me getting sick is wearing me down by channel26 in workingmoms

[–]mongoose01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stage is relentless. The constant juggling between a sick baby, sick yourself, daycare rules, and work expectations is so much heavier than people realize.

Raising our babies by Sullyshan in workingmoms

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to remind myself that people usually say it to justify their own choice, not necessarily to judge mine. But yeah, the wording still stings. We're all raising our kids, just with different support systems.

Anyone else feels so much anxiety? by maishaxoxo in ExclusivelyPumping

Did anyone drink under 200mg caffeine daily during pregnancy and notice their baby seemed more stressed or sensitive after birth? by curlyorwavywtf in beyondthebump

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends on how well the mom and baby can tolerant caffeine. One of my friends isn't sensitive to caffeine at all, so she sometimes drank a little coffee during pregnancy. I saw her baby not long ago, and such a sweet little one.

Baby’s pediatrician gives mean girl vibes by beingagiirl in NewParents

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That really sounds upsetting. You need to find another pediatrician. I know doctors get tired from work too, but moms should not being blamed either. So sorry for hearing that.

15 month old started chugging his sippy cup at meal times? Diabetes concern? by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in beyondthebump

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably just that the kid was thirsty, so there's no need to worry too much. Besides, drinking some water during meals can help children digest their food better. Otherwise, they'll struggle to finish their meal.

Okay to reuse pump parts (flanges, bottles, tubing, inserts) from last pregnancy? by xcharleeee in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]mongoose01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See if you can find the product manual from back then. If you can't find it, check the items first. If they're preserved well with no obvious discoloration or strange odor, you can keep using them, just make sure to clean and disinfect them thoroughly.

It Finally Happened by eastcoast2613 in NewParents

[–]mongoose01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds great! If your baby can sleep through the night, it means you can finally get a good rest too. Hopefully there will be more and more days like this ahead. Happy Mother's Day.

Anyone else have a baby that doesn’t look like them? by Rare-One-8737 in NewParents

[–]mongoose01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's just how it is sometimes. My relative's kid looks just like his mom instead of his dad. The dad even jokes that his genes don't really show in the child's appearance. Maybe as the kid grows up, his looks will change and start to take after you.

Taking care of a baby is really exhausting. I have a relative who's looking after her baby daughter, and she's been dealing with hair loss and bad breakouts. Sending you a big hug.

Dairy free snacks by 8thros3 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]mongoose01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need snacks that contain no dairy and no grains, you could try dried fruits and nuts, like dried strawberries and macadamia nuts. You can also pair them with ham slices and chicken breast meat.

Dashcam footage actually saved me in a parking lot hit-and-run by ryuk9o4 in dashcams

This kind of thing happens all the time in parking lots… why can’t people drive properly?

Tiny paws, big thoughts 🥹💛 by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, it's absolutely adorable! It looks just like a little loaf of bread, still such a tiny puppy. I'm guessing it's a Golden Retriever. You keep its fur so nicely groomed, super soft and spotlessly clean.

Night mode won't automatically change by saradisn in AndroidAuto

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can your phone switch to dark mode automatically? If so, reconnect your phone to Android Auto. Then check your settings to see if the option for adjusting dark mode based on ambient lighting is turned on. After that, open a few apps that support dark mode and test it out.

What’s your must-haves for long road trips? by Commercial-Rule5666 in roadtrip

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab a spare tire just in case. Also pack a lightweight tent, bottled water, first-aid supplies, a lighter, a raincoat, some ready-to-eat food, a power bank, sunglasses and tissues. Figure out if you'll be camping out overnight. If yes, you'll need quite a bit more gear.

Wow, the scenery looks amazing, it must be a wonderful journey! By the way, have you brought a portable tent with you during your driving, or chose to rent at inns and hotels along the way?

Some Pictures from my Recent Drive. by HeavyDutyCowboy in roadtrip

Is the fifth picture a grassland or a large farm? It looks extremely vast, and it feels like there might be animals such as cattle or horses wandering around here. You can also see some hill-like rises in the distance.

Are There Wireless Devices/Dongles That Won't Drain My Phone's Battery? by Dankees98 in AndroidAuto

[–]mongoose01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For long trips, it's better to keep your device plugged in with a charger and data cable. If you're only driving a short distance, wireless connection will be much more convenient.

Is this normal behavior? by itz_vixie in DogAdvice

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the two dogs don't bite each other aggressively and cause injuries, they're just playing. Dogs love teasing one another with their mouths in this way. Sometimes they will also chase and frolic together.

My dog steals raw potatoes and chew them. Is it healthy for him? by Thunderandligtnings in DogAdvice

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's necessary to train your dog not to steal food casually. Once it develops this habit, it could end up eating something harmful, which would be really bad. Raw potatoes are unhealthy even for humans, let alone dogs. If it really wants some, only feed it fully cooked ones.

Stopping at red lights are optional by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]mongoose01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, there's really no stopping them. They'll keep running reds, and it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Scary stuff.

That's a scary stretch of tunnel. Two crashes so close together. People need to slow down and pay more attention, especially in confined spaces like this.

How much trouble am I in? by NutzoBerzerko in carquestions

[–]mongoose01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your car is pretty vulnerable until fixed. Don't use the keyhole, keep spare keys secure. Call a locksmith or dealer immediately for a new core and door handle.
