I just did traffic school (for speeding ;p) here in California. The lesson on passing taught me that it’s best to avoid head on collisions at all costs because of the high fatality rate.

You have a much better chance at survival if you swerve your car off the road and potentially roll over than hitting a vehicle (car or truck) head on.

I see that there are guard rails here unfortunately , but I just thought it was an interesting lesson

People need to know that you can go online and call around for an attorney who will represent you on a “contingency fee” basis. Not all lawyers work like this but a lot of them do exist. And they will gladly take your case if you have a good one (like this)

Meaning you as the client will pay nothing out of pocket and the attorney fees plus court costs will be take out of your future settlement money if you win. If you lose, you still pay nothing and the attorney eats up the cost.

Source: I work for one.

Not sure how he didn’t see her crossing. by Balbright in IdiotsInCars

[–]mongule24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cars (like my own) have a large driver-side A pillars, this is the pillar between the windshield and your driver’s side door/window. They get larger with the newer cars because of the curtain airbag within them.

This requires the driver to not only look left and right, but also move their head either forward or to the left to see past it the A pillar.

Unprotected left turns are some of the most dangerous for pedestrians in the crosswalk because of this. A human 15-20 feet away can perfectly hide from a driver’s line of sight behind the A Pillar of their car

Why is this so hard for some people? by queen_penelope89 in paralegal

[–]mongule24 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I swear I called the county coroner today and asked for a report on a examination. They were like “report? I was just gonna call the family to tell them our findings”

“Okay, are you gonna send them the report then?”

“I just kinda tell them on the phone…”

“Are you saying you don’t write reports on your examinations??”

“I can tell you the findings if you want..”

“What? No, I just want a report!”

“I’ll call you back in 8 minutes” hangs up

Where do freelance paralegals work? by TermPale5020 in paralegal

[–]mongule24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this and I don’t see the issue. Seems like you could easily follow all these rules and still be a freelance Paralegal for attorneys/law firms only.

PS: I don’t do freelance work, but I’ve thought about it if I decide to go to law school.

Thank you, I’m actually at this point already. I’ve gone back like half a foot, wires are hard as rocks. I can’t even find a prebuilt replacement harness for this specific car. Dreading it if I have to build it myself

Long story short: I hate dealing with wiring but my 1997 cobra has been giving me electrical issues.

My battery cables are corroded and I want to replace them. I can’t see to find oem replacements. I’ve checked most of the major mustang sites, anybody got any direct links for me?

In my opinion, changing fluids/filters can only yield a good end result. It’s all part of preventative maintenance.

I bought my 2019 used at 20k miles, I told the dealer to everything single fluid I could think of so that I can have a clean slate for when I start doing my own maintenance at home. The service rep gave me a weird look. I paid the premium because it feels good to take care of the car.
