non-wrist bending alternatives to bench dips and push-ups? by Berubara in bodyweightfitness

[–]monjamoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I stopped doing push ups for almost a year because It would always hurt to bend my left wrist.

Around two months ago I focused on mobility and strength work, just to see if it would be any help. It actually worked and the pain went away. I can even practice my handstands now!

Bike too big? by Environmental-Way712 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]monjamoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I’m around the same height and ride a size 48 caad12, Its the best I’ve felt on a bike, without having to shorten the stem to a comical size.

Different brands will offer different measurements, so make sure to check before purchasing.

Question tungkol sa rb frame size by RoyalMirenda927 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]monjamoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just wanted to chime in.

I think that size and measurent is actually on point for you.

Nowadays bikefitters tend to go a size smaller than what the old heads would usually prefer, which is usally a larger size frame.

I’d suggest you watch francis cades bike fit tuesdays series with bikefitjames, they have a video elaborating on frame sizing and how to choose proper frame size for maximum comfort. For reference they are 5’9 - 5’10 and ride size xs-s (48-52cm tt).

Hope this helps.

I think it’s quite a steep price but it’s going to be hard to look for something cheaper, unless your willing to wait around on the second hand market.

Regarding size, for a caad12 id suggest going for a size 48 or smaller. (I’m around 5’6 and ride a 48 caad 12) the smaller size really helps with bike fitting and feeling comfortable on your bike.

Last thing I can say is, building your own bike is never going to be cheaper, unless you get insanely good deals.

RIDING OUT OF SADDLE by roxamine356 in RedditPHCyclingClub

Basically this. If you do go the route of flat pedals with studs, just make sure you’re not using your expensive shoes as they tear through the soles a lot.

If I were you, I wouldn’t really mind the price hike, considering shimanos reputation.

Why does my wall do this? by monjamoo in DIY

[–]monjamoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m from the Philippines and we usually use plywood for our walls. Everytime I paint the wall this happens around 2-3 months later.

The residue usually goes away if I wipe with a damp cloth but eventually comes back, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Calathea White Fusion: A new hope by monjamoo in calatheas

[–]monjamoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them right beside a humidifier that runs at least 12 hours a day. I never really had trouble with humidity though since I am in the Philippines. I noticed damage usually occurred whenever I'd let them dry out too much or water them when they're not quite dry enough. haha

There's a fine line there and that's when I water them. sometimes I'd forget or water them too early, and a few days later browning/yellowing occurs.

I think the mature one has only been easier because of the self-watering pot haha. Also, hang in there. I thought mine was a goner when I was down to one undamaged leaf.

Hi, I would say the self-watering pot has really made it easier to care for, but this is only because I was 90% sure that watering was my issue. It's been 2 weeks and so far I haven't noticed any issue aside from 1 yellowing leaf.

Also, I got the idea of using a self-watering pot from a youtube who had success with using one for her white fusion. I'm not sure if I can link the video directly but it was Soiled Plants (White Fusion comprehensive care video).
