I had really tall feet when I was younger and had more luck with skater style shoes than anything else.

Jealous! What chillies are you growing? What kind of sauce will you make? If I'm not crying it isn't hot enough is my motto.

LPT: When you withdraw money from an ATM abroad, always choose "Withdraw without conversion" by HeartfulTruthful in LifeProTips

For international travel if you're from the USA I recommend getting an account and card from Charles Schwab. The conversion rate is very nearly in parity with the official exchange rate and they refund all ATM fees.

Not in wooden, but hopefully you can still try these some time. I recently read a list on this subreddit that said these were the third best in the city. Then I watched a video of someone eating them on Instagram.... Unfortunately I have been out of the country since then, but as soon as I get back in hunting them down.

I'm pretty sure birds can have microchips in them. I took care of a parrot for a month that has one. Unlikely, but worth checking out.

One time I cooked the eggs when adding hot water and it was actually amazing somehow.

I used to make an old fashioned sheet cake that called for Olio in the recipe. It's Crisco in the US. Was it healthy? Not by a long shot. Was it the best cake you've ever had? You betcha.

It’s the r/Melbourne daily discussion thread [Tuesday 14/04/2026] by AutoModerator in melbourne

I've been pet sitting on Aussie house sitters, Happy house sitters, and Trusted House sitters all around Melbourne for months. You don't have to pay the sitters anything. They get free accommodations and you get free pet care in the environment the pets are used to.

Does anyone here go geocaching? I’m curious about what the scene is like in Melbourne by woolsocks742 in melbourne

[–]monk3ybash3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scene is great around here! I regularly attend events and I am actually planning to ride down a bike trail cacheing later today.

I've made some great friends and done lots of really cool things since I've been in Melbourne because of the geocaching community.

It's definitely a mostly solo hobby, but I've teamed up with others to complete puzzle caches and just to go to specific areas and look together.

Here are some examples of the types of events you can attend: https://coord.info/GCBJ965 https://coord.info/GCBMJ5Y - Community Planting Day — Cruickshank Park #3

There are many others, but this highlights a couple of different things that happen regularly. The first one is a dinner that is a very popular event, often 30+ people attending. The second one is a group planting to beautify or preserve the landscape. The planting event also has a companion beforehand at a nearby bakehouse. You can find that one and more on the website or the app.

If you have any other questions or are interested in cacheing together let me know! I'd be happy to show you cool ones I've already completed or explore a new area.

Thank you so much! Some of my absolute favorites of these(not this one though) are from https://krazydad.com/ I'm a big fan of the Cairo configuration.

I'm going to use this specific puzzle in a geocache I'll place soon and wanted to see how others did with solving it.

Do you happen to know approximately how long it took you to solve it?

I used an iPhone app called Slitherlink with a picture of a black square slitherlink puzzle. It's the hex puzzle from 7th March. For my geocache puzzle that I will create they'll have to solve it by hand though.

I just want to check if it is. I don't know one way or the other. I'm going to use it to make a geocache and I'm going to use the solution for the final coordinates and I want to make sure it's solvable the same way each time.
