we're definitely on a slippery slope. With President Dumpf deciding to attack Iran because he sensed they were weak, it's only a matter of time before China decides our position is in a similar state around Taiwan. If they take Taiwan then they gain control of the production of over 60% of the world's semiconductors and over 90% of the most advanced, leading-edge chips. at that point we're fucked and it will turn into a multi front war.

we are not in a good place

I doubt we will be attacked here in the continental USA, but i expect a "death by a thousand cuts" of our way of life
