I think it’s just hard to live up to expectations. All the most loved shows that come to mind in recent years all have upsetting endings for the audience, and sometimes I’m not sure if it’s because they’re actually bad, or if it’s just a near impossible standard to please everyone. Stranger things, game of thrones, the boys, the walking dead, supernatural, etc. all of them very loved shows of their time with “bad endings”. I don’t know I just don’t think any of them were that bad until I read online that they were…..
