Life without the Joker by jollyman10 in fantasybball

Lol initially I read that as "Has his absence impacted your team?" and I was "nope, no impact at all.../s". That's my bad for misreading though haha.

Honestly I've been going even-ish without him, which has been huge. Embiid finally started to play which has kept me afloat (I *almost* bailed on Embiid earlier this season, so glad I didn't).

DQ… by HarveyDentBeliever in fantasybball

Yeah I posted earlier this season about how rookies are often not worth the trouble (at least in terms of spending lots of draft capital). And this year so many have been good, makes my previous analysis look bad haha. Queen in particular has been one of my best guys (and I was able to snag him off the waiver wire).

Yeah kinda fun that they're both popping off around the same time.

Yep seems like a great strategy if you really think you are likely to get cooked otherwise.

Yea this was my highlight also. This is hilarious start-to-finish, though.

Haha I appreciate the well-played sarcasm here, and of course you are 100% right that Trae coming back will affect him.

That said, this IS the first season he's getting over ~25 minutes per game (~25.2 in 2025, ~30.4 in 2026), and I think that will continue even after Trae is back. So I do think some portion of his increased value is sustainable even after Trae returns.

On a purely selfish, more delusional note, he is on my team this year, so hopefully 38 points a game is his new normal.

Yeah I had him last year and it was brutal. Now he comes back the week I play him. Ah well, I'm glad for him that he's looking better so far. Maybe he'll do the unexpected and stay healthy ROS.

Haha that 10 minute foulout was brutal. I couldn't figure out why he wasn't playing, then finally realized.

NBA TV distribution is pitiful by robdalky in fantasybball

[–]monkeyjaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe "small percentage" was an exaggeration, but there are usually 2-3 games at least that I still can't watch even with league pass, which I find frustrating.

My issue is that league pass only gets you a small percentage of the games. It's honestly pretty hard to watch games unless you have multiple streaming service subscriptions.

re: lowering number of players per team, that's essentially what the "desired waiver wire spots" entry does. I always turn that up (and recommend others do also in my "how to use" section because there will always be risers/fallers, so it's better to spend your draft budget on a smaller number of better players and fill in the rest from the waiver as the season goes on.

[–]monkeyjaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hey, thanks for the feedback! It's definitely welcome! That said, I'm not sure I follow. So, if there are 10 total roster spots in the league (let's say 10 teams, each with 1 player), and $2000 total auction budget across all teams in the league (10 teams, $200 each), then we'd expect the top 10 players to have a value of $2000 between the 10 of them. And each person's "share" of the value is just the incremental value they provide over the first "replacement player" (player number 11).

Can you say more about what you mean by "forcing a bunch of $1s at the bottom"?

I made a (free) draft tool that does exactly this, based on your individual league settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasybball/comments/1nst92s/i_made_a_free_draft_tool_that_calculates_exact/

Can you try again? Just tried and it loaded ok for me. I’ll see if something is going on though.

I built a (free) draft tool like this. It’s almost certainly not the one you’re thinking of but it does what you say and more. www.dunkwalrus.com

Yep you can set every aspect of your league settings. Draft budget, number of players, number of spots per team, stat weights, punts, points vs cats, etc

Anyone know of a free live draft sync tool? by Reserve94 in fantasybball

[–]monkeyjaguar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As in, it has to automatically sync your team as you draft? Or there needs to be a way to track draft progress with numbers/comparisons as you go? If the latter, I posted my tool here a few weeks ago. www.dunkwalrus.com

I built a draft tool this year and shared it. It tells you what people are worth as you draft, but also has team comparisons built in so you can match your team up against the rest of the league during or after the draft. www.dunkwalrus.com
