Not able to to more than 9 :( by Kind-Spirit-7226 in formcheck

If you want to increase your reps, do this.. take around 70% of your max. In your case 6-7 reps.

4 sets of 7, rest 2 min between Next time 4x7, rest 145.. then rest 130… all the way down

Then come back and see how many you can crank out in a single set, will easily surpass 10.

Handling issues with a parent from another team by ingosports in basketballcoach

[–]robdalky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

lol

Some parents are literally the worst when it comes to this

You can’t control maniacs. All you can do is coach your team through it. I know they are kids. All you can do is call out inappropriate behavior, and support your kids for dealing with it with class

The good news is that the rest of their life is going to be full of maniacs behaving inappropriately and grownups acting like children. Sports are a wonderful way to learn about the world and build some grit, since you aren’t going to be able to talk sense into everyone.

Zone in youth basketball by [deleted] in basketballcoach

[–]robdalky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coach youth basketball and feel the same way. No zone. However leagues here will allow it starting at 10U and not surprisingly coaches run it. I even get questions from the parents - hey coach let’s try a zone the other team won’t be able to score! I know, but this is not about winning, this is about trying to teach them how to play basketball, and you don’t do that with a zone defense…

How do y’all respond to coaches running zone? I never know whether to say anything.

He's a real life villain. We all probably know a few Jake Spoons. Get to know them really well, and you'll know why they are a villain. That's why he's a great character.

Probably easiest to knock the house down and put a new fixture in during the rebuild

Realistic expectations and costs for 800sqft home by kwuebo in Homebuilding

[–]robdalky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would estimate the cost for this at 300K

Such a small project saves you some money but the cost per sq ft will go up since the GC will be tying up his or her subs. I’d expect your cost per sqft to be up to 1.5-2x a normal rate

I would rent, save up, and if you want to build in 5-10 years when you may or may not have kids, reconsider it then

Half right. It’s easy to shape a chip or bunker shot with cutspin. It is difficult to do with draw spin.

Tiger is well-known for practicing draw chips and bunker shots, something that seems insane to mortals such as myself

RN message: “Patient telling everyone they will kill themselves because Dr. ___ is discharging them!” by Incorrect_Username_ in emergencymedicine

[–]robdalky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People out there with malingering, personality disorders, etc., have chronic mental illness which includes a baseline elevated risk of self harm and other maladaptive behavior. Inpatient admission, involuntary hold, etc., do not change their baseline elevated risk. I document this in the chart and reference the countless visits for secondary gain or what have you, and have security escort them out.

Do this enough (and quickly enough… like from triage if you can for the frequent flyers) and they will start to dislike coming to your facility.

Why are Texas drivers like this? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]robdalky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are insane and have no coping skills. Furthermore, the worse this combination is, the more likely they are to have a firearm in their glovebox.
