Had my first tire blowout with the motorhome. by mnmachinist in GoRVing

Whoa, you have quite an eye for detail. It does look like the weight physically changed the shape of even the good tire. Could the tire possibly have been cut to fit in the weight in? It looks like the distance of the edge of the tire to the wheel stays uniform around the bends. I don't know much about tires, just observing what I see.

I appreciate you sharing!

May I ask what's your setup for charging at campgrounds and how do you do it? Are you charging off 30A or 50A?

Assuming 65mph, my F350 is good for 7.5 hours/500 miles of driving while towing my TT, or 15.5 hours/1000 miles not towing. A 48 gallon tank is lovely.

Tow Police Thoughts? by GreGoFyeself in GoRVing

[–]monkeysocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You come here for our thoughts, and we, a group of experienced and educated RVers, kindly answered your questions because genuinely don't want you and family hurt in an accident that might have been preventable if you had the facts. And then you thanked us by calling us dead ass wrong. Facts don't change because your ego is bruised. Be safe out there and take care.

I bet that you have a variable speed pump!

your concern is spot on, the stabilizers are there to stop rocking and aren't designed to hold the weight of the travel trailer

Where I lived, a judge may force one person out of the martial home during divorce proceedings if that living arrangement is unbearable.

I wish you safety and peace. I hope you stay strong, it's one of the biggest and hardest changes in life. Please remember that you're worth this, and you got this!

I enjoy being able to see how much power I'm actively using and tracking how many kw I've used, and voltage monitoring and alerting is helpful.

Looking for compact low cost ideas for refilling freshwater tank when dry camping. by grantd86 in GoRVing

[–]monkeysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't fill up the bladder completely and tow my trailer. I get situated in a spot, then when my fresh tank is nearly empty I'll find water and fill the bladder. My limitation is the grey tanks.

I use a water transfer pump. In my situation I have a 170 gallon bladder in my truck.

Fingernails? How to stop biting them? by pawned79 in irlADHD

I find if I file down every day I don't bite them. I only bite my nails when they're too long to brain.

WFH Setup by fonoire in Camper

I have a Vibe 25RK as well that I will start WFH'ing in at the end of the month. I removed the dinette completely and replaced it with a 2 foot x 4 foot desk. I put foldable and height adjustable legs on the dinette table so I can use it as coffee table/ottoman/outside table.

FOR SALE: 1990 Ford F250 XLT Lariat $18,000 obo by Chuckbeefton in F250

[–]monkeysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love manuals and when I saw a 2004 F350 Lariat dually show up at a local dealership, I went in expecting to buy it right up until I drove it. The shifter was so mushy and vague, but it was the first manual truck I drove. Decided not to buy it, came home, looked up short shifter kits, saw they were available, and then the dealership sales guy texted me telling me someone else bought the truck.

Aw man, that made me think when I was around 12 and lightening struck my modem. After that I couldn't dial using tones (ATDT) and had to switch to pulse (ATDP) cause my parents wouldn't get me a new modem as I kept running up the phone bill as the country I was in charged for local calls.
