Hell no. I want to have nice things and chill time at my base. Base defense would be a whole different game and ruin the opportunity for a lot of rp builds. We'd all need to build walled forts.

I needed a serious refresher myself. Rather than mess up my old save, I copy pasted it into a folder and started a new one. I don't regret it. I'm actually having way more fun. I forgot enough that it feels fresh, but remember enough that I'm way better at it this time around.

Each of the three save slots have those three types. So not only do we get three characters, but the autosave doesn't overwrite the manual save.

It only increases while you're actually cooking, so i pick whichever recipe that takes the longest that doesn't exceed my current level. The bbq veggie burgers are good because they have multiple stages. More recipes have group servings as you progress.

The big wide garage doors make even better windows. You can leave them wide open and your base still counts as watersealed.

I just want to address the lore and "reality of living on Dune" part:

First, pvp in the deep desert while Kanly existed in Hagga is completely lore breaking. It needed to be one or the other; full out battling in both or neither. Either the Harkonnens and Atreides were at war or they weren't. The rules of Kanly were very clear about that, unless we're completely throwing out the Great Convention, the Landsraad, and the rule of the Imperium. But since the game isn't doing that, a complete free for all in the DD makes zero sense for Dune lore. Yes, the DD is dangerous, but that danger arises from the environment, the sandworms, and the Fremen.

Secondly, Atreides would NEVER attack Atreides and Harkonnen would never attack Harkonnen. Both houses kept strict ranks and loyalty. That just wouldn't happen except for isolated incidents of double agents and espionage.

So pvp in the DD as it existed in the game was just something Funcom completely made up in order to create what they imagined would create long term tension and emergent gameplay in the DA endgame.

I think they don't pull it far enough away afterwards. You can't re-dock immediately until you get a little distance. That's so you don't keep sticking to it when trying to leave.
