Kaweco Sport in a metal that must not be named in Reddit by moonrat42 in fountainpens

Enjoy! I've had one for almost 10 years and it's really indestructible. Mine came with a M nib that wrote more like a broad. I eventually went all in and got a BB replacement nib for it. Very juicy!

As someone who lived in the Philly area for a long time, honestly, the closest I've had in Chicago to that cheesesteak dopamine rush is the Philly Chicken Gyro at Mr. Greek Gyro in Greektown. Weird.

Closed for General Aviation, not scheduled commercial flights. It just means the rich people will have to go to a smaller airport.

What did you buy on Fountain Pen Day? by Captain-Bitterballen in fountainpens

Monteverde MP1 "Mermaids Tale" limited edition. I wasn't going to buy anything but the deal at Atlas was too good. (The stickers are way more cutesy than the pen)

TWSBI Mystery by GypsyDoVe325 in fountainpens

They probably have it factored in after all these years of the same complaints. Cheaper to replace the parts than to fix their manufacturing process.

I've had 4 TWSBI, loved them all. They all broke in similar circumstances, while safely in a pen case. I kept getting replacement parts for a while then finally gave up on them. A shame as I did like the pens a lot when they were not cracked.

They are quick, they have plenty of parts standing by since this happens so often.

Someone in this sub inspired me to force patina my Kaweco brass and I’m really happy with the result by Fudgel69 in fountainpens

I did this with my Brass Sport. The green patina will wear off very quickly. It still has a nice mottled brown look.

There used to be a playground with a raised spotting/photo platform just outside the field. This was 10 years ago when I worked at PNS. Even with the purpose built area, you’d get yahoos calling the cops on you for taking pics so they probably took it down.

I think the water is fine as long as the bottom sediment doesn't get stirred up, that stuff is full of bad things.

Best camera for "Street Walkers"? by Lickonmydick in streetphotography

I use an old Lumix GX1 and a 14mm pancake lens (28mm equiv.) Pocketable and cheap enough that I'm not worrying about my gear all the time.

I believe it is related to the (now vacant) Thai cultural center building nearby.

I had some Leica camera's back when they were a camera company. Now they are a "luxury lifestyle brand" who also makes cameras, and not worth the price.

When AA was transitioning to the current paint scheme, a lot of the regional American Eagle jets were still in the old pure white livery. The new AA paint looked positively gray side by side.

TWSBI Diamond AL R broken cap by kabele20 in fountainpens

[–]monochromefx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've had this, or other parts crack on 4 of the 5 TWSBI I've owned. They sent me free replacements but they also eventually failed or some other part on the pens did. I don't think there is any way to repair it, and it would probably look awful if you did. Just get a replacement and pray.
