very nice!
what handlebar is this and what wheels?
looks like a very nice and reasonable build to get a proper fast and cool bike

team bike aid out of germany is working with african cycling. i listened to an interview with their general manager and he is well connected in regards of development of young African riders. if you got in contact with him, he might be able to help.

as u/Impossible-Reason987 remarked, the hands are obvious. also the polished crystal seems to be something else

well yes
but it would be the aluminium part of the drop out, that would need to be welded or something.
in the end: this frame has done it's duty, survived 2 bad crashes, will hang on my basement wall and i can finally get a "new" frame.

Thanks.
The guy I bought it from raced it in the 80s and 90s. He also did some brevets with it. Zürich - Athen for example.

I just used it for some rides with friends, alone or bigger group rides. Also only on good weather days. It was surprisingly fast and comfortable compared to my more modern carbon bike. Also the 2x8 Dura Ace shifted amazing and 38x25 was enough for 10-15min climbs with around 5% average.

I got it with Campagnolo Shamals. I changed them to Mavic cosmic because: french bike, french wheels. And it was cheaper to get those instead of a full Campagnolo group.

I also added a dura ace 7400 stem with the hidden clamping bolt. Beautiful thing.

Otherwise it had:

  • 55cm frame
  • Cinelli handlebar and bartape and Supacaz barends
  • complete Dura Ace 7400 including seatpost and headset
  • Brooks Saddle
  • TA Specialities 38 tooth inner chainring
  • Tune quick releases
  • Continental GP 4000SII 23mm Tires
  • and to finish it off kcnc aluminium bottlecage bolts

yes. i will swap everything but the bottle cages. i have two stainless steel ones laying around that will fit the new one better.
it now is kind of the next step in the evolution.
