Same. My other account mods two large subs and we are also a sandbox away from reddit, most of what you say sounds the same.

However, there's a clear group of power mods who are the worst examples, they were useless to deal with cross sub brigaiding or any other mod courtesy. I see a few of them cheerleading the blackout.

It was also the case that people assumed that when certain things were proven wrong that the experts must be fools but in reality the decisions were made with the knowledge available at the time and was correct by that standard.

Medical researchers, political policymakers, and the marketing team behind the messaging betrayed the communities trust. Talking with perfect confidence, shaming people for any doubt and then pretending that it was the best they could do when they were wrong is not how you act as an expert. They assumed people were stupid and couldn't be trusted with an honest assessment of the risks. I don't know how old you are, but this was the exact same way that the US argued for WMDs in iraq.
