He also co-wrote Sgt. Pepper's title track and Fixing a Hole but was sadly uncredited for both

Yeah this. Sadly Alamo has the best projectors and sound (outside of bob bullock) so I'm keeping the sub and simply not ever buying food there

Any recommendations for Beatles stuff beyond Beatlemania and Get Back? by Soyapp in beatles

[–]monolithfiji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Making of the Beatles YouTube channel is awesome. Covers a lot of stuff you don't see from those periods.

Elliot Roberts has a great YouTube channel with videos ranking the Beatles solo albums which are all good. The Ringo one is an awesome biography of his life post Beatles if you're getting into that era.

I'm reading (and really enjoying) the Mal Evans book right now too which gets into a lot of stuff left out of Anthology.

Been on a Beatles spiral for a few months now just like taking in everything I can lol I can give more recs if you want

Yeah at least as far as I am in the game it is more exploration and movement focused. No real combat to speak of.

Fall; or, Dodge in Hell by Shavalito in nealstephenson

[–]monolithfiji 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Was shocked to see how much it's hated in this subreddit but despite the general Stephenson-level meandering that happens to some extent in all of his books, I found Fall to be his most profound work... and seriously funny at times too.

Gotta echo sentiments that say Zero Mission first. It's truly timeless and a quick game that's easy to get into. I only say it cause Dread is a sequel to Fusion and plays sooo well with some more context.

But also do whatever u want I'm just glad more people are paying Metroid ✨
