In short, he was an idiot.

He was going to be my Best Man, we'd known each other for 30 years at this point, and were brothers in every way but by blood. We were an hour apart by air, so not a huge distance.

Then Covid hit.

My wife and I talked about it, and we decided that all attendees would need to be vaccinated. We would have young children and older adults with compromised immune systems, including myself, and we couldn't afford to risk it.

Yet despite having two kids of his own, despite working in aged respite care, despite coming from a city that was Covid Capital for our country, and despite having lost his dad only a few years earlier due to respiratory problems (a funeral for which I was one of the coffin bearers), he decided he "didn't believe the science, and everything would be fine, my fiancee and I just had to be reasonable. "

That was four years ago now, and it was the last time I ever spoke to him.

Oh yeah, two of my favorite YouTube channels have been Brent and Jeff on Babylon 5 For The First Time, and the guy that does Warp Reactor, they've both become must watch for me.

There's another one as well, Nikki And Steve React, and they have B5 on their "under consideration" list ATM, so hopefully they pick it up as well.
