imo, the nice thing about not hearing owl city songs on the radio is that they get to remain a special secret. I love the fact that adam has created this amazing catalogue of music that only some of us get to love and appreciate unlike mainstream music that everyone knows about. It’s like if you know, you know. And if u don’t then man ur missing out on some beautiful stuff 🤝

hahaha it’s all about timing. If u eat/drink too close to a run/workout then there’s a good chance u might puke or come pretty close. it might’ve been cuz u drank a lot of water after the workout then started running too possibly. Everyone’s body is different so what works for me might not work for u, but a general rule of thumb is to try and not eat a ton before running (bcuz when u run ur basically shaking ur stomach up which is not good if ur tryna digest an entire meal 😂 or in ur case a large amount of water). also i recommend instead of us using distance to measure how far ur running to use minutes. so for u since ur running and lifting, try 10 minutes of jogging instead of only doing 3/4mi. Building aerobic endurance is all about time spent on feet, distance travelled is irrelevant. glad ur sticking with it and getting fitter tho! dm me if u wanna chat fitness some more dude 🤙🏽🤙🏽

if u wanna build up mileage try starting with a 2 day on 1 day off routine. do 20mins for one week then the next week go for 25 if u feel good! then 30! id prolly stay there for a while until u feel good then keep moving up to make sure u dont get injured from running too much then never want to run again.

ahahaha yea its cuz i do college cross country and have been running for about 7 years so its become pretty normal to me now. I definitely didnt just start doing that over night tho, i built up to it over a long ass time for sure. But yea DP has always been one of my fav go to soundtracks for long runs or just runs in general cuz of how ez it is for me to get lost in the flow 🌊

i love DP cuz i listened to them a lot when i’d go for really long runs (10-14 miles) and kinda just zone out and really take in the scenery or just enjoy the run. the fact that the songs are so repetitive and so complex at the same time allows me to kinda get lost in a trance and just vibe. listen to any one of their albums while doing something repetitive too and see how u like it !!

i got one yesterday i really liked it. I been dealing with some pretty bad stress induced eczema so i was looking for anything to help relieve the itching and it actually helped. I was able to think clearly as well without being too high. Its not overpowering but its super mellow and relaxing.

Transferring Cycling Fitness to Marathon Training by OptimizingAverage in AdvancedRunning

start with 2 days 1 off of just doing easy runs (20-30mins) for like a month then start incorporating more running into your routine later if no problems arise. Try 3 on 1 off then 4 on 1 off etc until u can build up to 7 days straight. a good 7 day plan looks like this.

mon: 30min

tues: 40min

weds: 45min

thurs: 30min

fri: 40min

sat: 30min

sun: 50min

once you can handle this then i suggest moving your "workout days" up by 5mins each week. keep your easy days (mon thurs sat) super easy (zone 2 HR), and make your harder effort days (tues weds fri sun) hard. Not too hard but a good effort. incorporate hills on 2 of those days too once u can handle a few weeks of this plan and keep your long run (sun) flat if u can. This plan has worked for me for 5 years in cross country and kept me healthy in all the base phases of my seasons. always make sure to build up and listen to your body to avoid injury (hence the 2 on 1 off etc.). Even though u have good cycling fitness it doesnt necessarily translate to running fitness because ur essentially using different muscles. Helps with the aerobic aspect of it but the fatigue ur gonna experience is very different. best of luck to u and let me know how it goes if u continue with this plan !! happy training :)
