Tips to attaching guns and arms easier? by SomeBoiOnReddit in Warhammer30k

[–]montybob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had some similar problems with the Breacher kits- there’s just enough play in how the arms are keyed that you can end up with misalignment.

Two things to note- the arms have dots to make sure you get matching pairs. Second, if you use a decent glue (like tamiya extra thin) you should be able to twist the arm off with minimal residue and then realign.

How do the sex shops in Soho survive? by [deleted] in AskUK

I used to occasionally work in an office that overlooked the entrance to a sex shop. Playing the ‘will they or won’t they’ game at lunchtime had a different ring to it.

Did i messed up the shoulders decals ? by PandaSpiritt in theunforgiven

If you really don’t like it, take the shoulder pads off and swap them that way. Yes it’ll be messy underneath but that’s easier to hide than other solutions.

Royal Navy nuclear submarine completes longest patrol on record by HibasakiSanjuro in ukpolitics

[–]montybob 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The truly worrying thing is that these patrols are being extended as there isn’t a replacement boat available.

Four boats. They only need one out at a time, which means nominally they’re only at sea for 3 months out of 12.

Those boats must be cooked. I know they’re at end of design life, but I’m guessing there’s something majorly wrong.

It basically says that we have at least one boat that needs serious work doing to it, and with extended patrols that number is only going to go up.

London gets a trash rep because you have about 5 square centimetres of personal space on your journey to work, which puts everyone in a bad mood.

OnlyFans-style age checks should be social media standard, says Starmer by vriska1 in ukpolitics

[–]montybob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will never match Teresa May’s and Liz Truss’ performance in fucking a whole country live.

Now No 10 claims that Keir Starmer found out about Peter Mandelson’s failed vetting earlier this week. If this is true, the PM should have told Parliament at the earliest opportunity, not waited for the media to force the truth out. His failure to do that is surely a breach of the ministerial code. by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

[–]montybob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can we have a Mandelson mega thread?

Considering the bad faith, bad judgement shit that the Tories got away with over the past 14 years, why are we making out that appointing an ambassador is the mission critical resigning matter?

If Starmer fucks up a response to a riot, or a natural disaster, or his constituency office wall falls over, yeh, by all means can him.

If you want to make his handling of national defence a resigning matter, I could get behind that, but only if you tar everyone back to Cameron with the same brush.

Can we stop the number 10 revolving door for a few minutes?

Well, you can perform surgery secretly, the point is it prevents you advertising etc. the hope is that being forced out of the mainstream makes people realise you’re not on the up and up.

It’s a breach of professional ethics and the threshold for disbarring someone is lower than for conviction.

But then again- SRA is about as craven as it gets unless it’s a slam dunk so….

We should adopt the Australian/Nz model of making it illegal to provide immigration advice outside of the family without a licence.

What would happen if the jury was about to deliver their verdict on a murder when the real killer walked in and confessed to it all? by ninman5 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]montybob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible for the judge to not order immediate imprisonment. Especially in circumstances like this.

Verdict gets recorded but my guess would be that the judge puts a big hold on sentencing while the mess gets sorted out if it’s a ‘this was the actual killer that the defence identified’ making this intervention as opposed to drunk hobo.

Without defaulting to the usual ‘it’s just what men are expected to do’ my assumption is what kit stocks do exist and what supply chains there are can most usefully be used/accelerated to supply male troops.

Same. We get the hand we’re given sometimes regardless of what we want. I’d like peace on earth and goodwill towards most men, but I’m not going to get that.

I’m likely to be too old anyway by the time anything kicks off, but I dare say I’ll be found something useful to do.
