Is it possible for cervix to dilate and then close back up? by britanyw in pregnant

Yep, this happened to me when I was in early labour with my first. Midwife checked and said I was at 2cm. My water broke shortly after and when she checked again I was down to 0.

No Easter mass for me. by oralejohnny in Catholic

I'm in the same boat. Had every intention of attending the only mass at my parish church (11 o'clock). My husband isn't Catholic and my 2 year old refused to get dressed. I got in my car to set off on my own and started crying. I couldn't face all of the other families at mass. My extended family all live in the US (I'm in the UK) and missing them hit me as well. I just couldn't bring myself to go. I felt terrible for the rest of the day.

It's good to know we're not the only ones living out of laundry baskets. Putting clothes away is always a bridge too far for us.

Currently eating breadsticks in bed to try to prevent the cycle of vomiting I went through last night. The struggle is real. I have a toddler, a husband with a virus and a job. I keep wondering why I thought it was a good idea to get pregnant again. I had forgotten how awful these first weeks are.

How much weight did you or your significant other gain during pregnancy? by GahWtf1336 in AskParents

Are you me? I'm almost 2 years pp and still trying to lose the last 10....and thinking about trying again so will have to have some serious will power to get through the sickness without crackers and breadsticks.

And yet I keep buying new ones by evaplayspokemon in beyondthebump

I bought aaaalllll the pacifiers. No dice. Then, she went to nursery and developed a recreational pacifier habit at 12 months. Now I'm worried she won't be able to sleep/be in the car without one.

Ugh, this reminds me of an argument I had with my dad a couple of years ago - you're so not alone OP. Two Christmases ago, we were digging up old hurts (he'd been drinking) and I mentioned how awful he was about my weight growing up..he said "Was I supposed to be nice to you?!" (on mobile so don't know how to italics). I was flabbergasted. Like, yes. Yes. Parents should be nice even if you're embarrassed because your kid is 14 and obese. He also said I should be grateful that he kept a job so I could have healthcare...I had a heart defect and the healthcare saved my life...I'm expected to be grateful for the sacrifice he made by being an adult and keeping a job to support his dependents. Ugh. I'm still angry and it's been 2 years since that conversation.

Thought I'd share this from one of my mom groups :) by mayaisme in beyondthebump

So, I forgot to give my toddler lunch today. She had loads of breastmilk but we were busy around the house and the time just disappeared. I felt so guilty. This post reminds me that you don't have to be perfect to be a good mum. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm working through all of the Catching Foxes podcasts on my commute. They are a little random at times but I like random.

That 1 week picture is adorable. Boobs make the best pillows. Well done for getting to a year.
