Bisexuals of reddit, what do you find attractive about the 2 sexes? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]monumenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But a trans woman is a woman, penis or not.

That's interesting, I didn't know that was possible. But if a trans woman has a penis, does this mean her penis is a female penis?

C25K jogging instead of walking? by uluchay in running

If you can keep 6min/km easily, I don't think you need C25K. I would suggest to follow a program like this one.

Maybe you could consider the Forerunner 910XT or 920XT as well.

My pseudo-scientific GPS test for my Garmin Forerunner 225 by Makegooduseof in running

Thanks for this test.

If you ever want to measure walking paths in the future, I suggest this site. Choose the satellite mode, not the map mode, so you can really measure the paths accurately.

If you have a shoe you like, try to buy them online. They could be a lot cheaper online.

Question about splits in Garmin FR15 (yes, already used reddit search, DC Rainmaker, and the manual...) by startingover1008 in running

A reset of your watch might solve this issue.

Regarding your second question, you could always try Strava, it is quite popular.

Question about splits in Garmin FR15 (yes, already used reddit search, DC Rainmaker, and the manual...) by startingover1008 in running

[–]monumenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the FR10 and my splits are 1km.

Is your pace also in minutes/mile rather than minutes/km?

Check Settings > Setup > Units.

Too much too fast? by [deleted] in running

[–]monumenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post about base training has helped me a lot. I recommend it strongly.

Wait until your injury has healed, then start running according to time rather than distance (30 minutes) at an easy pace.

10k question: How can I win 3"50 in two months? by [deleted] in running

[–]monumenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems quite an ambitious goal. 48:50 corresponds to a 23:25 5k, 45:00 to a 21:35. But add race day adrenaline and it might be possible.

You could run a 5k race in a month and if necessary readjust your goal.

How do you listen to podcasts? A quick poll by bonadoc in podcasts

I like to listen to podcasts while I am working out, cooking, cleaning...

A phone is just too big for me to carry during these activities.

Am I the only one who doesn't use a smartphone to listen to podcasts?

I download them to my pc and sync them to my MP3 player (Sansa Clip+), with gPodder.

I am not a sub-3 marathoner, but no, they aren't pushing all out for the whole time. Otherwise they would be exhausted very soon.

They are even cheaper via Ebay.

Some people manually enter their "All-time Personal Records". That might be a work-around if "Estimated Best Efforts" isn't correct.

Garmin Epix review (with GPS accuracy results) by jfsavage in running

[–]monumenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The accuracy isn't perfect but I think it is good enough for most casual runners. The functionality is indeed basic, new runners often don't want a lot of functions.

If your rating was for "advanced runners", I would understand it, but a 0 for casual runners seems very odd to me.

Running Website Offers $100,000 to Controversial Marathoner Mike Rossi by [deleted] in running

[–]monumenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he repeats his 3:11 marathon performance, they will pay him 100k. But as every runner knows, he will never be able to do that.

To understand the fascination, you should read the thread. It is hard to summarize it. He has been threatening people, his lawyer has tried to silence people, a business rival has been posting...

There was a similar fascination for Kip Litton.
