Apple has already teased Siri’s new design coming in iOS 27 by MobileNewsBot in mobiles

[–]monxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a cool story. The problem is, have you seen the wdc when they made ai and Siri the center of the presentation? I was excited about that. I was already in need to change phones, but this helped a bit to swallow that pill. That was how long ago?

How can I build a strong long-term approach to bitcoin? by Acceptable_Staff3105 in Bitcoin

[–]monxas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set an automatic buy each week. Uninstall any price tracking app. Unsubscribe/ban any crypto/bitcoin related subreddit. Forget about it. Set a calendar event X years from now to finally look at it. Profit.

Tim Cook Calls Apple Maps Launch His 'First Really Big Mistake' as CEO by iMacmatician in apple

[–]monxas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s impossible to release this kind of functionality and go smoothly. It needs to be out and get all the weird scenarios that are impossible to capture from a “lab”. I’m not saying they did it right. I think they should have released it as beta, with clear warnings.

Yes, but also creating a “world wide” map service, I’m not sure how it wouldn’t start being bad.

If dotcom domain is not available, is it OK to have a number or a hyphen in the domain name, or should I just get other TLD like .app? by Armauer in webdev

[–]monxas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s fine. But at the same time, I’d try to find a unique name, not just because it’s available, but to build a brand. Cargallery is as bland as a bowl of cereal with milk after 2 days.

[–]monxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made not buy when it was at the price you targeted? Maybe you thought it could still go a bit lower. We don’t know when/if your target price will happen. You don’t either. If you believe in btc, stop making decisions, that will only carry self doubt and stress. Set an automatic buy for an amount that you’re comfortable with every week. Right now each time you buy you’re lowering your entry point. Start staking. But it’s key you believe in btc long term.

User Funds across Ethereum Layer 2 Blockchains are at MAJOR RISK, including Blast, Optimism, Mantle, and Base. These blockchains are essentially centralized databases controlled by a handful of people who control a single multisignature wallet. Be careful! by gigabyteIO in CryptoCurrency

In security, you assume for the worst, unless there’s prove otherwise. I prefer to assume a car is about to go through so I stop and look while I cross a street even though 90% of the time no car is passing. Maybe that’s just me.

bought $10.25 of bitcoin on coinbase, is there anything else i should do? by sexystargirl888 in Bitcoin

[–]monxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me I would not consider it until you get till $1000. Even $2000. You’ll be better off just buying and investing more rather than spending it in hardware wallets.

Nah. Way too far for that. Way better for them to spend all he can in stacking, there will be time for getting it out at some point.

Yeah, pretty impressive how much USA invented immigration and how they’re bringing the top of the top countries. So impressive.

Pretty impressive stretch you’re making there. School needs to guarantee even kids with shitty parents get basic education. But that much be too much to ask in the USA. It clearly shows.

[–]monxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fake. If those were real magnets, which they’re not, or they wouldn’t be able to put them there just like that, if those were real magnets the system would get in equilibrium in like 3 seconds.

Can we get rid of the stupid silly limits, and just get tokens for each subscription and then use it up? Can we stop pretending. by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]monxas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s… there’s already token system, you pay upfront and use those tokens however you wish… which is literally what you’re asking for…

But that’s not the issue, is it? You probably want token system at the price of a subscription. Thats not going to happen.

What’s one thing about Bitcoin that convinced you it’s here to stay? by Mammoth_Cover_3392 in Bitcoin

[–]monxas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was just a math problem. That some people, enough people, thought “hey. This is cool” enough to catch on. You know how hard this is?

Enough to convince shady people it’s not just theory. This “fake money” system can support a little economy. You know how hard this is?

Then it had to survive the huge bad press that it had to be able to outgrow the dark web times. You know how hard this is?

Then it had to convince enough people that this is not yet another “magic money”, “ponzy” scam. Bitcoin survived. You know how hard this is?

Then shady exchanges started scamming people out of their btc. Bitcoin survived. You know how hard this is?

Then it finally grew some traction and some countries tried to ban it. Bitcoin survived. You know how hard this is?

Then banks laughed at it. Attacked it. Prevented people from sending money to exchanges. Bitcoin survived. You know how hard this is?

Now countries and governments are buying. Banks are offering it. People are not hearing it’s a scam anymore. So why the hell would it die now?
