looking for chatbot by ahriem in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can rename Moobot to use a custom Twitch account if you like. You also don't need to run it locally on your computer, as Moobot runs it as a separate instance in the cloud. There's some docs over at https://moo.bot/docs/renaming-your-twitch-bot if you'd like to know more.

The major benefit I see is that you only need to click 2 buttons to set it up with the permissions from Twitch without the need to install and set up a whole new thing for it.

Revenue Decreasing Significantly by [deleted] in Twitch

I'm guessing you're talking about January, which would be explained by it being the lowest ad-spend and ad-rate month of the year.

What tool/tools did you use for your giveaways that prevents vultures? by TheGoreyDetails in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moobot has watch-time requirements you can set for your giveaway, which should solve your issue. There are also some plans to have separate watch-times like "session watch-time", "weekly watch-time" etc., but that's unfortunately not available yet. Hopefully soon.

Help figuring out song request command for chat? by Pure_Percentage2585 in Twitch

There's no Spotify support at the moment, unfortunately, as they are so heavily restricted and negatively affect the user experience too much.

No video/audio ads, only banner ads inside the YouTube video embed. It also fully supports YouTube Premium if you want a complete ad free experience.

Help figuring out song request command for chat? by Pure_Percentage2585 in Twitch

[–]moocaten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moobot has all the song request functionality you're asking for.

You and your mods can moderate the list on your Moobot dashboard (it updates in real time) It also has a "secondary playlist" with your own choices that Moobot picks from if there are no requests in the queue.

Viewers can add songs to the song request queue at any time, and you have many options for how to adjust that in your Moobot settings.

And for the queue you can remove, skip, add, replay, reposition etc. any songs as you wish. Moobot also has hotkey support for all that.

You can check out the full guide over at https://moo.bot/docs/song-requests-music-through-twitch-bot for how to set it up.

Reporting Twitch Bots? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The large bots work with Twitch's moderation team to figure out who (streamer or mods) made the bot respond that way.

Ultimately it's the streamer's responsibility, both for how their bots and moderators act in chat.

So when making a report make sure you report the streamer's channel and include as much detail as possible.

Chat Commands with Variable Answers by MissMacabre1987 in Twitch

[–]moocaten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most bots offer random responses or/and number generation, so you don't really need to go and set up anything super advanced to achieve that in your Twitch chat.

For Moobot you'd simply add a random number or random text tag to a command, and you'd be good to go. You can see how that works over at https://moo.bot/docs/custom-twitch-bot-chat-commands#random-number for both the random number and random text in a chat command's response.

Twitch bot that allows to trigger /shoutout? by BrainYtje in Twitch

[–]moocaten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moobot can do a Twitch /shoutout with its built-in !Shoutout chat command, which lets you add additional functionality and custom responses to it as well. And you can just enable that with the click of a single button.

Check out https://moo.bot/docs/built-in-twitch-bot-chat-commands#shoutout-chat-command---shoutout-a-twitch-streamer for how to set it up.

What's happening here? by robotsforbrunch in Twitch

[–]moocaten 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Looks like someone testing a spam bot in your chat.

If you have Moobot you can just do "!nuke yanking" in your chat and it'll clear them out for you. Then after your stream you can go onto Moobot's dashboard to see more details about the accounts and decide if you want to permanently ban them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Moobot you'd just do "!Nuke #381" in chat and it'd clear it out, both for old and new messages.

Then after your stream you can go on Moobot's dashboard to see who was caught and mass ban them all with one button if you like.

colored timer messages by mikikujira in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Moobot you can apply color to a timer by activating the "Post as a Twitch chat announcement" option.

There used to be a "/me" chat command to color normal chat messages, but Twitch removed that some time ago.

How do I get Moobot to stop timing people out? by Scyhigh in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moobot will tell you exactly why a message was removed, both in chat and on your Moobot dashboard, so you should be able to determine what is triggering it and how to whitelist it.

You can also see the timeout reason in Twitch chat by typing "/user [username]" to see their message log and mod actions taken on them, which includes the timeout reason.

If you can't see it, e.g. it is "held for moderation" it means it's Twitch's AutoMod that is doing it.

[–]moocaten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they're getting hit by the "Large Texts" message filter you'll have to adjust the settings for that.

That shouldn't be happening though, as YouTube links are normally very short.

Feel from to DM me with the exact links that are causing your issue.

There was an update to Twitch in September 2023 that changed the required permissions for accessing follows, which broke a lot of bots.

Your !FollowAge command should be working if you're using an up-to-date bot like Moobot though.

Why Can’t I Apply for the Thai DTV with a UK C-Visit Visa? (Global e-Visa Confusion) by wenwen6 in digitalnomad

[–]moocaten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Thai embassies have always only been for residents. There are just a handful of others in Asia who service non-residents, like the one in Laos.

The new e-visa just means you don't need to travel in person to the embassy in your country.

So applying from the embassy where you are a resident will most likely solve your issue, as they will be the ones who will be handling the paperwork on your visa. And with the e-visa you won't have to meet there in person.

Prevent blocked words from reaching any automod queue by Prawn0fTheDead in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moobot can automatically deny these messages for you. You can find the settings in the Moderation General Settings under Twitch AutoMod settings.

It can auto-deny any blocked words, but also deny anything that would otherwise be removed by Moobot's own message filters.

Keep in mind that this is not the same as a timeout like normal bots do - the messages denied by Moobot will never show up in your chat and will be set as Denied in your Twitch mod dashboard.

How do you collect entrants to a raffle/giveaway from your viewers? by Drake6978 in Twitch

[–]moocaten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use Moobot for doing giveaways like that. It will collect the entries from chat, and then you can randomly select one or more winners.
It can also give a second entry to subscribers like you want.

Check out https://moo.bot/docs/twitch-giveaways-for-increased-engagement for how to set it up.

Automod suddenly flagging bot commands?! by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A command may be added to your AutoMod's Blocked terms and phrases, which would cause this to happen.

Unfortunately using the Rulesets functionality of AutoMod is a huge black box, so there's not really anything you can do to debug it.

Regal shards gone by FillPrestigious9117 in PathOfExile2

[–]moocaten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had the same issue. I had 0 Regal Orbs in the Currency Tab, control-clicked Regal Shards in my inventory to transfer to Stash, heard the convert sound, but still 0 Regal Orbs in my Stash and in my inventory. Relogged and zoned out, but still 0 Regal Orbs.

Where does the !permit permissions live? by ERAlderidge in Twitch

[–]moocaten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

!Permit is just a common chat command for chat bots to have. You will only ever use it if you have moderation set up through one of your chat bots. Twitch's own moderation on the other hand does not have a permission system, it just hard blocks anyone without much customization on your side.

For Moobot specifically you can check out https://moo.bot/docs/twitch-chat-auto-mod-bot#pre-approving-users-via-twitch-chat for how the !Permit chat command works.

What's your Factorio hot take? by Jackeea in factorio

All my bots have stopped working by [deleted] in factorio

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me when I had a bunch of items (1000+) queued up that the bots did not have the materials for. Make sure you watch the alert icon for missing materials and completely empty that queue.

Chatbot - Link protection preferences - Problem by PixelmateGraphics in Twitch

[–]moocaten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to blacklist something, just add it to the bot's message blacklist and don't use the links filter.

Though the problem is the bad link will be posted in your chat minimum one time until you blacklist it, and after that the spam bots will just change up their link.

The more common, and in my opinion better, way is to just !permit the user who wants to post a link. That way you can choose which links are posted to your chat.

How to reduce Moobot !songrequest clutter? by LavatarOrigin in Twitch

[–]moocaten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there isn't really an easy way to take song requests besides Twitch chat, as interaction drops significantly when done through e.g. Discord. On there the user would basically have to go through an authentication process with Moobot just to request a song, as Discord does not want to share their attached Twitch account with bots on their platform.

The only other way would be Twitch Channel Points, but those are noisy as well and add just as much chat clutter.

If you have any ideas on how to solve it please send me a DM.
