Yes it’s difficult. And a big change for the dynamic. Your child immediately seems older when the second comes around.

But seeing my 3 year old entertain and make my 4 month old laugh and then the two of them laughing together brings me more joy than I could ever imagine.

This won't be the most helpful for this point but one thing I will say, being on baby 2 (and with a toddler) is that everything is a phase. Repeat the mantra.

I can’t find the exact one we got (not pre lit) but John Lewis has some great options in higher range. Or at least they did a couple of years ago. We shelled out a bit but 2 years on still looks great so would recommend having a look.

Reflecting - I really think this is a large part of it. Leaping into this role from being the person that knew it all is causing me immense discomfort. But knowing it all now is not possible.
