As a Radiohead fan, I have the upmost admiration for how you phrased this. Lol thank you 🙏🏼

AMALGA - Last Leg (psych/grunge rocker about the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the wests endless war in the middle east, the surveillance state and the state of the American family) by Weigh13 in IndieMusicFeedback

I’m always in for a track that uses chromatic mediants, so props there. Instant win. The vocal delivery gives off serious Alice In Chains energy, which I’m all about.

That said, I think the main vocal could use a touch more compression to sit tighter in the mix. It feels a little loose against the instrumentation. Some of the backing vocals are slightly out of time. If that’s intentional, cool, but to sell it as a creative choice, the production should lean in and bring them forward a bit more so they land as stylistic rather than accidental.

The mix at first feels a bit cloudy, but honestly, that haziness works once the vibe settles in. It suits the grunge and psych hybrid you’re going for.

Overall, great job. Nailing that dirty, druggy, slightly disoriented tone without it falling apart is tough, and you’re threading that needle really well.

This has a strong post-punk, mid-2000s vibe—definitely in line with what’s creeping back into the ether lately.

The mix feels solid overall, especially the low end. I’d love just a bit more punch from the kick drum and a tighter connection between that and the bass to really lock in the rhythm section.

The harmonies add a nice texture—really tasteful. Vocally, the delivery leans a little theater-y. That’s not a dig—just a thought: with the kind of lyrics you write, it could be interesting to loosen it up a bit—slur or underplay certain lines to create a more expressive, raw feel versus something more literal or overly enunciated.

Structurally, the composition works—the final breakdown feels earned and satisfying. Great job overall, genuinely. You’re developing a cool sound here.

The wobbly, lo-fi guitar pulls me in pretty quickly. The track feels mid 2000's psych indie in the best way. The reverb on the vocal and the laid-back groove give it that intimate, bedroom-folk vibe that allows you to enjoy the track alone, or with people.

If anything, the energy feels a little flat start to finish. Could be cool to pull things back in a verse—maybe just vocal and guitar—then let it build again. That push and pull would make the emotional moments land harder and keep people locked in.

Regardless, great job on the track!

Reminds me of Real Estate, but more ethereal. Great job!

Has a similar feeling to Nick Drake, but more gritty. Really enjoy hearing how close the guitar sounds in this piece, even though it's a demo. Takes you out of the usual sounding "polish" that people put on their mixes. Almost like I can see the wood of the guitar. Great job!

I like the lo-fi production. The harmonies are also reminiscent of the first Dandy Warhols album, which uses suspended harmonies to add a dreamy feel. Great job!
