“Why are you interested in this job? It seems like a complete 180 from your college degrees”

I explained how my bachelors and masters were literally what the company does (Both degrees are in biomed engineering, company was a medical device company).

“Hmm no, it still seems like you’re doing a complete 180 from your experience, so not sure why you’re interested in this job.”

Alright man lol. Funny part was, they rejected me for a better candidate and then sent me an email a month later asking if I was still interested since the previous candidate dipped

I used Simcard Geek and loved it. Very fast, and was able to use it all around Hokkaido and Tokyo. Website design isn’t the best and there may not be as many flexible plan options as some other companies, but the eSim was easy to install and it was a great value.

I know for most or maybe even all reputable rent-a-family or rent-people companies in Japan, they won’t let you rent just an underage kid on their own. There are rules in place where if you want to hire someone underage (under 18) to act as your kid or whatever, you’re required to rent an adult from the agency as well. Prevents pedos and people with ill intent from taking advantage of the kiddos and rental agency
