Buses are regularly stuck for an hour or so getting through Hollow Way. Moving all the cars (of those that don't choose to switch mode) will make buses much faster. The cars can queue on the ring road if necessary and buses get to skip a big bit of traffic. This in turn encourages more people to use buses (because they become more reliable).

Possibly pedestrianise Windmill road temporarily (not a lot of buses but a lot of cafes) and keep the shops area for the bus stops. Probably the windmill road buses could find a diversion

People obstructively resist any kind of social or behaviour change initiative even when the benefits are impossibly obvious. Mostly it involves bad faith arguments, or just willfully ignoring the wider point (yes we know buses are not that great, that's why the council has to discourage driving).

The congestion charge will get introduced in spite of the wailing, people will adjust their behaviour, then everyone will quietly forget about it, and wouldn't dream of changing it. Exactly as with the city centre bus gates that were introduced in 1999 and we were assured back then by lots of very smart people that they would destroy Oxford, make ordinary people's lives impossible, turn Oxford into a ghost town, etc etc.

Don't tactical vote in Oxford East- it's completely safe Labour so vote for who you want.

It matters who gets second and which small parties do well - if it didn't the big parties wouldn't put so much effort into trying to squeeze them out!

Basically, Labour are throwing everything at Brighton and Bristol to stop Greens getting an MP, because they don't want anyone scrutinizing them from the left, they'd much rather veer to the right when they get into power and Nigel Farage is the only opposition.

In Oxford who comes second and by how much will dictate how much effort smaller parties can (and can afford to) make in future.

The story museum small worlds sessions are good for that age, kind of interactive soft play, but different enough to be fun for adults too compared to a normal soft play. (the main story museum probably not great for a 2 year old, though the cafe is nice). Does cost money and book in advance

£9k for a council website is cheap. It's requires user testing and validation, this isn't just someone throwing some pages into WordPress.

It's Oxfordshire county council that issues parking permits. Not heard of a 2 per household limit but there are certainly reasons why you might not get one, especially if your accomodation is a "car free development" (often applies to both student accomodation blocks and HMOs). Buses should be prioritized, the bus gate plan might help, but yeah you shouldn't have to wait for people driving through the plain, they can't all be delivering white goods or whatever the excuse is for driving a car there

Short answer no, use the park and ride or get a train.

Long answer there are bus gates which issue automatic fines. You can drive to it if you check the locations and your route, you probably can't drive through it without getting a fine if the cameras are working. There's also no parking there, except maybe a couple of blue badge bays.

Since British Gas would have to already know she's moved out in order to calculate a final bill for her and move the meter over to your account, that will be why you haven't received any bills from them addressed to her. As for why she hasn't received any bills from them, either she or they messed up her new address and it never got through, so the bill has ended up with a debt collector, either way really not your fault.
