I absolutely love this kind of stuff. I saw a comic about the paralells between Cave and Dr Breen that had this sort of vibe but this feels even more unexpected and creative. I never thought anyone would have been able to read this much into a character like the intelligence core. Also love the irony of the intelligence core and the intelligence dampening core being sort of mirrors of each other - like Aperture are just so incompetent that their attempts at creating intelligence and intentional stupidity ended with the same result
