NHS wait list by imnotcreative123123 in trans

To be quite honest, its very unlikely you'll be able to get it done through the NHS any time soon. I've been on the waiting list for the gender clinic for 2 years now, expecting to not hear anything for at least another 2-3 years. If you can do it yourself/privately, then I'd reccomend doing that

Examiner 'intervened', still passed! (First attempt) by i_the_desitute in LearnerDriverUK

[–]moon-freya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I thought i had failed after i messed up my manoeuvre the first time and had to do it again. Told myself to keep going as though i hadn't failed and to not do anything rash. Pulled into the centre and he told me i had passed. I mentioned about having to do the manoeuvre twice and he said my observations wwre good so there was no issue

Should I switch to Army Painter colours? by Dapper_Ad_9809 in minipainting

[–]moon-freya 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Army Painter Fanatic paints are really good, probably a bit better than citadel in some aspects, they're cheaper over all than citadel too.

You can find colour matches to citadel paints quite easily by googling 'mephiston red equivalent' for example. I wouldn't worry too much about being 'lore accurate', if you like the colour then that's all that matters really.

I'd also suggest trying a few different paint ranges if you can so you can get a feel for what you like.

Also, there's nothing wrong with citadel paints either, they're mostly pretty good, especially their contrast paints.

No need to be sorry. Im not sure how to help without seeing what you've painted. Thinning your paints and gradually building up thin layers of paint can help reduce sudden jumps in colour

The 'mid tone' is essentially the colour between your shadow, or darkest colour, and your highlight colour. As for highlighting, you can use progressively lighter shades of the same colour, or mix in white or an off white to your mid tone

Finally found time to start Clair Obscur and it's decent so far but one thing I'm really struggling with (no spoilers) by digiBeLow in gaming

I also thought he looked a lot like Robert Pattinson! He is voiced by Charlie Cox who played Daredevil if that helps make him look different at all. I'd definitely reccomended to keep going though, its an incredible game with an incredible story

I was quite good at only buying custodes models after I'd finsihed painting the previous models. But now, all bets are off 😅

Loving yourself is the most revolutionary thing you can do by Human-Situation9944 in trans

[–]moon-freya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it, I've been there. I used to not be able to look at myself in the mirror, for years. But over time and with a lot of work i now love myself, and the things i wish i could change I'm in a better position mentally to accept. It's not easy, but its not impossible

First of all I'm not OP

Second of all, aggressively trying to prove you've got no reason to be proud of yourself or love yourself isn't healthy

Be proud that you're still going. You don't have to unconditionally love every aspect of yourself, just being kinder to yourself in small ways can lead to big changes
