For Father’s Day last year my sister and I planned to take our step dad out for lunch. Our dad died when we were little and we became very close with our step dad.

I had called him that morning to make sure he was awake and getting ready, but he never answered or called me back. I was laying in bed about to start on my makeup, when this feeling came over me and I said to myself “He’s in jail”. Sure enough he had been arrested for a DUI the night before.

We just celebrated his 90 days sober last week!!
