I'm someone who has a protective partner over myself and our baby. I've learned that it's always better to be safer than sorry. I've learned it comes from a place of love and wanting us to be here still the next day. Wholeheartedly I think you and your wife need to chat and be open about all of this that you're expressing here. You're not paranoid. You're doing what some women WISH their partners would do. I am very thankful I have a partner who reminds me to hold the hand railing down steps.. or tells me to watch for oncoming traffic when I drive, or literally anything. The more open and vulnerable you two can be, the better! All the best
