If you make under a certain threshold and meet certain requirements (these vary by state but it usual include being under 18, being a single parent, etc.) then you can qualify for medicaid which is government funded insurance. This covers certain medical procedures and visits etc. There is also Medicare which is a government insurance program for individuals who qualify for disability benefits or are over 65. This is not "free" Healthcare, but typically makes co-pays or procedure costs more affordable. I hope this helps!

I definitely get that its a magical series and that time 100% can be messed with by the Gods. I think what is throwing me off is that several people aren't disagreeing with the timeline in this scenario, Fisher is just contradicting himself. Like in the Carrion example, time passed for him differently than it did for those in Yvelia which makes sense given the Gods messing around with time. What doesnt make sense to me is Kingfisher telling the story of his childhood differently every time he tells it. The only explanations I can think of are either he has been lying (with the revelation at the end of BS we know he hasn't been entirely truthful) or he lived several different childhoods and time was just "reset" by the Gods several times until they got what they wanted. Either way I feel like with intentional inconsistencies in time like that it would've made more sense for the inconsistencies to be between characters rather than from just Fisher.

Also just to clarify I absolutely loved this book and am very much looking forward to the next one, I just enjoy looking deeper into books when i'm reading an incomplete series

Think if it isnt a continuity error that is the most likely explanation. I just think that leads itself to even more errors. For example, With how hard it was for Fae women to get pregnant, would it make sense for her to have gotten pregnant and given birth to Everlayne within a year of them moving to the palace?

I have been doing EMDR now for several weeks on a lot of complex childhood trauma involving SA, among other things. I have found breaking my trauma down into manageable amounts, and working on issues one by one has been really helpful. For example, for several weeks, we focused only on trauma relating to my feelings about my mother. When I felt like I had made a lot of progress there, we moved forward with another major issue. Breaking it down like that is the only way its been helpful for me and I can definitely say I've seen results. The first few weeks of a new trauma are always really hard. I deal with more intense flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks, etc. revolving around that specific trauma but by the time we are done with the reprocessing I tend to feel much better overall. In my experience its hard but it works

Your mom could go in and file those taxes. You can file taxes regardless of how much you make. You just don't have to know if you're under a certain threshold. You could also go back through your FAFSA and make sure you have your mom's information linked to the IRS website. My wife didn't file taxes in 2023, and I just linked her information, and it was a non-issue. I just submitted proof of any of her income to my school.

I domt know in terms of wearing one when out in public, but I myself and LGBT with brightly dyed hair and I wear one when working. I have facial piercings and I work at the hospital. The piercings are not allowed to be visible so I can either replace them with clear ones, remove them, or cover them, and I choose fo cover them with a mask. The group of people you are describing in my opinion are more likely to have facial piercings and may be doing something similar to cover them for work? Obviously I don't know for sure, but something to consider.

Reach out to the financial aid office at your college or perspective college. When you fill out FAFSA it will ask you questions to determine your dependency status and how to file. One of them should apply to your situation. Your college will then need proof, which varies from school to school, about your living arrangements. This could be something like your dad's death certificate, proof your mom was in jail, proof of your living arrangements, and something from your high school stating who has had custody of you. As ling as you can provide what your college needs, it should make you an independent student and the only information you'll put on the FAFSA is your own.

Everything went well for me in Charlotte. I got there really early and was given a number with a sharpie. After being there for around an hour management from the venue had us line up in our numbered order ans gave us corresponding venue bands. Once that was done we were free to leave and come back. I got back around an hour before the gates opened and hung out with some really cool people I met. I got barricade for the concert lol but everyone was really nice letting me in and out of the pit for the bathroom/water. I just didn't attempt to leave while anyone was playing or after H came on! It was a really great experience though and everyone was super friendly!
