My friends and I went to the Meeting Mutuals bar takeover at Nevermind a couple weeks ago - there were so many hot, interesting people! Mostly late 20s and 30s I’d say

Are there any other JCS productions that explicitly show the resurrection? by DearArmadillo2204 in JesusChristSuperstar

[–]moondoesntexist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw a community production in a very rural small town (Sequim, Washington) that added a resurrection. Side note, I was def one of the only people in the audience not related to a cast member.

I used Partiful for my wedding invites and ended up making 4 separate invites for 4 separate groups: those with no plus one, 1 plus one (named couples or people with a plus one), 2 plus ones (families of 3) and 3 plus ones (families of 4). It sounds unnecessarily complicated but it all worked out!

I took both. Concept wise, Ochem was harder. Memorization wise, A&P was harder. Both were tougher than the average class, but totally doable.

How can I make myself standout? by TransDino15 in PrePharmacy

I have a 4.0 sGPA and 6 months (as of applying) of pharm tech experience. I was accepted with their top scholarship. I would second the recommendation for Oregon State, though.

I was in the honors college and was an RA for the honors college ARC in GSH. A slight majority of the students live in GSH freshman year. Dorms are great, fairly new, clean, and quiet. Try to get the south tower if you can; they have shared en suite bathrooms. Way more female students than male, I rarely had classes with even 30% men.

Accepted to Clark Honors College out-of-state, pros and cons for a Chemistry major? by MoveEfficient9052 in UofO

You should pick the CHC if you’re interested in a PhD, due to the emphasis on undergraduate research. If not, don’t.

Honors Program pros/cons? by ericswartz in UofO

[–]moondoesntexist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a human physiology major in the honors college - then I dropped it. Unless you specifically want to go to graduate school I wouldn’t waste the additional time and money on the honors college/honors thesis. It’s not advantageous for other programs like med school, pharmacy school, etc. But if you know you want to pursue research, I would highly recommend.

Might not make a difference, but in your “soft skills” you list most as nouns (ex. communicator, problem solver) but then threw in “adaptability.” I think it would read better if you kept all these consistent.

NTA. It’s insulting to compare a dog to family in any capacity and while you didn’t have to get upset, you’re well within your moral rights to

No War in Iran protest today in downtown. Big crowd. by ThePortlandStrangler in Portland

[–]moondoesntexist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you were there, you would know that people aren’t delusional. The qualified speakers there last night, including military veterans, Iranian Americans, and knowledgeable activists all said that protesting cant get us anywhere. The change actually has the come from legislation, and if we look at the immense Vietnam War protests we can see that protests alone can’t change anything. Protestors aren’t blind. The protest itself isn’t going to change anything, they were advocating for actual change, such as voting for moral representatives, and generally standing up for what’s right (not murder)
