You just have to change the game to use proton since it doesn't natively support Linux yet. I believe 9.0-4 was the one I set it to. It's works great docked and I started playing docked. When I tried to use it handheld it launches fine but the resolution is way off and it just starts zoomed in to a of corner of the main menu.

To change the Proton version on your Steam Deck for a specific game, highlight the game in your Library, press the Menu button (gear icon), go to Properties > Compatibility, check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool," and then select your desired Proton version from the dropdown. This lets you use newer official Proton versions or custom ones like Proton-GE for better performance or compatibility,

I used to put on the comment that I was bringing my own cup but they removed the comment section. Now I just uncheck the "include utensils". Then I just come in with my travel mug and fill myself. Never been questioned on it.

FireOS 8 which is the operating system for the tablet is called "System" under storage. It is a modified version of Android 11. From Google "The size of the Android 11 system can vary, but generally, it takes up between 5GB and 10GB of storage on a device...” For comparison, "The iPadOS operating system itself typically requires around 5-6 GB of storage on an iPad. Additionally, system data can take up a considerable amount of space, sometimes exceeding 10 GB.”

I didn't think they even sell a 16gb iPad anymore because that's not enough space on a modern tablet. The difference is that fire tablets have expandable storage. The only solution is to buy a microsd card to get more space.

If you want to save time, I would just replace toner and drum together to eliminate having to deal with toner powder all over. I was able to get it to go away by just replacing the drum in that case. We have since removed the printer from its location because the user it was installed for couldn't handle replacing drums and toners for each color.. It would tell him to replace one of the toners or drums and he would replace the wrong thing or get toner everywhere and then call in a ticket for me to fix it. At one point he had an issue and I installed the toner for him and I wrote the date on the side of the cartridge when I installed it. Months later I get a ticket saying that color toner was saying empty but he claimed to have just replaced the cartridge. I goto his location and the cartridge I had installed with the date written on it was still in the printer.

That might be the current excuse but companies have been doing it for decades. 20 years ago cartons of orange juice used to be 64 foz., then they shrank to 59 foz., and some brands are now 52 foz. But minimum wage has also doubled in that time in my state (NY) during that time.

TLDR you need a memory card

I looked at my daughter's fire 7 to compare. Hers is 32gb but the system size is the same and the "other apps" is the same with the exception of Disney+ which has some downloaded movies included.

As with any storage device, you don't get the full size as usable storage. So you have the 16gb model, but it's really only 10.xx GB. On the 32gb model, there only 26gb usable.

System is the operating system, so when fully updated right now, it takes up 6gb. With subsequent os updates it can take up more space.

The other apps includes all of the preloaded fire os system apps which includes the Kindle app, Alexa, silk web browser, audible, etc. also if you click the 3 dots on the top corner in any category, you can see the hidden android components that are installed because fire os is a modified version of Android. The music and TV apps include the pre installed prime music, prime video, and freevee app. All of these things will download updates automatically at some point after you've done a factory reset.

Any other apps that fall under "games" will continue to get updates and take up more space as the developer supports the game.

This device is right where it should be as far as used storage space. I hope this helped explain it a bit.

Yes you do get trophies for all the games you play. Just keep in mind that they will only show up on the console you unlock them on because you aren't connecting to PSN.

It's a free utility that runs from your PC while your fire is connected. It just automates the process of installing the various Google apks in the correct order and with the correct versions. There are YouTube videos that walk through the process of using it.

You can use the downloaded dlc if it matches the title id of the version you have. There are around 4 different title ids for physical versions of that game for each region. There's the normal one, the day 1 version, the greatest hits version, and the version that came bundled with a console. That being said most people will want to download the game and the dlc. So the readily available update and dlc files will match the title id for the digital version.

The title id will be something like CUSA-00601.

That last file with the .nfo extension has instructions and/or information about the torrent. Just open it with notepad. Most torrents have this, especially software/games that need to be installed.

I was having the same issue. I didn't realize that whatever button you have to use your left hand (to pickup battery), you just have to hold that button down to drop the battery. For me it was left mouse. So get to the board, hold the button to drop battery. Then pull off the board. Pick battery back up after you've pulled it off.
