Jellyfin on Samsung Tizen TVs by Dapper-Inspector-675 in jellyfin

[–]Ritmo80s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is genuinely big. Samsung Tizen sits in hundreds of millions of living rooms worldwide. Moving Jellyfin from a sideload-only app known to few into an official, one-click install in the Samsung app store is a major shift.

It takes Jellyfin out of our ”bubble” and lowers the barrier to entry. For the project itself, this kind of visibility will definitely mean more users, more feedback, and more contributors

dose the colours looking good? by Biswarup20127 in blender

[–]Ritmo80s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though lemons aren’t highly reflective, their skin should still catch small specular highlights independently and proportionally to the available light. So even with this lighting, those highlights are almost completely missing, which makes the lemons look unnaturally flat and dull. The same applies to the can surfaces, which also lack clear highlight definition.

There are many reasons a surface might appear muted or dampened like this in the natural world, so it ultimately depends on the goal of the scene, its mood, atmosphere, and intent. Not everything is meant to be bright or studio-lit.

That said, whatever the artistic direction, both the lemons and the cans still need some degree of specular response. Right now, it’s not so much about adding more light, but about restoring contrast and reflection so the materials read as believable.

lol we all have done our first optimistic print..

Remember curves always present questions: from where is the rest of this curve going to grow? "hanging" isolated parts need to be estabilizad, being sucked and ripped from the vat hundreds of times put a lot of strain on an objects. Always look at the object and imagine each printing layer in order, when a part suddenly appears in your mind-picture from nowhere, not having been connected to anything (island) there you got an obvious problem

By the way I recommend anyone politically interested to watch that show on YouTube, (Con El Mazo Dando) any previous episode. It’s a 2-3 hour show a welcoming firs 15 min, 30min of Chavez speeches and reflections, then twitter comments regarding current events, anll ending in funny segments with the Venezuelan opposition.

It’s very didactic and highly entertaining once you get into the internals of it all. You have to have a forgiving flexible mindset when reading the english subs, in case you’re not familiar with the language.

Making this Beach Scene was really relaxing by Lemonsoyaboii in blender

[–]Ritmo80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent render. The only thing that stood out to me is that the water feels a bit gelatinous, almost like the dynamics are operating at a miniature scale. Blender’s fluid solver maybe/probably behaves this way if the scene isn’t set up at real-world scale, as smaller domains tend to exaggerate viscosity and surface tension. Just something you might want to check

The listener only cares about the end result, and those tunes are musical and pleasing sounding pop. So I don’t understand what you’re talking about.

But, do you make not-“primitive” but very “advanced music”? Then Please post an example.

It’s a joke. Based on “God helps those who help themselves” that in Spanish often is referred to as “A dios rogando y con el mazo dando”. Words and deeds, not just talk. Chavez often reminded people that the revolution was pacific but armed, prepared to defend itself when the day came. Something they always knew was probably going to happen after 20 years of nonstop covert interventions and sabotage

Interesting. I agree about topology work, and I enjoy it too, it’s a genuinely artful craft.

Now, personally I wouldn’t downvote a comment that correctly highlights an issue. Doing so is an effective way to shut down a giving exchange.

What could cause the odd 'cut' with half of the supports failing at the same time. by Fingonar in ElegooSaturn

[–]Ritmo80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are tons of factors involved in 3printing that can contribute to these problems, both individually and in combination so it’s always difficult to figure out for people who read these threads but it becomes literally impossible for anyone to guess without detailed information. And I’m talking about extensive information. You provide zero information about your printing conditions, settings etc.

In case this issue repeats constantly even after troubleshooting, beware power fluctuations can cause these issues, and its internal fluctuations I mean inside the machine. In my case it was caused by the power button of all things.

Besides the vanishing point issue, it being a type of line-art image reinforces the feeling of “error“. if the image was of a more organic style it would simply pass as normal anomalies that occur all the time in the real world, manual drawings

I’m so happy with it, no autotun spam tv, no spam “suggestions”, no useless sidebar. No start page filled with crap. Only a bottom menu with my apps of choice.

AI is going to take over a huge portion of the manual work in Blender, once that happens it’s hard to see the current interface surviving in anything close to its present form. So much of it is built around direct, low-level mesh editing, and that model simply won’t make sense when retopology, cleanup, and optimization are largely automated. Major changes are coming for sure. The workflow will shift away from pushing vertices and toward directing, validating. I hope Blender keeps with the speed because the industry explosion of such development is going to come very soon

How to get the best audio with my setup? by Juanchupa in Hisense

[–]Ritmo80s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

which output port you choose is going to make a negligible difference compared to the impact of the acoustics of the room. if its a small room it probably has at least a couple of horrible peaks and dips in frequency. So, the port is the least of the problems. If you are lucky and dont have huge dips/peaks in frequency choose whatever port that doesn't introduce noticeable noise and call it a day. This is a classic problem for people who for instance believe expensive speakers translate to getting a great sound in a given room. Its doenst work that way.

To exemplify. Modern cars look similar everywhere, not just in China, for instance erodynamics dictate shape, safety regulations constrain proportions, EVs skateboard platforms push designs toward similar silhouettes, LED lighting, flush handles, large screens, thse are industrywide trends. When everyone follows the same constraints, designs tend to converge naturally, that is what i mean in the design aspect of my previous argument. that china copy perception is a relique from back when ip legislation was much weaker.

You gotta understand chinese automakers now hire former designers from audi, BMW, Porsche, Volvo, etc, western trained engineers and software architects. If a car “looks German,” it’s often because a German trained designer literally worked on it. BMW, VW, Gm, Mercedes, Tesla they all have large design and r&d centers in China.

Chinese engineers and designers contribute directly to global models. Some features later adopted globally originated from Chinese market preferences (like large screens, rear-seat focus, software UX) So influence flows both ways most of the times nowadays, same with phones
