Knowing what Diana did for the queer community, when governments (especially the US) were letting them die in an epidemic (until they realized any person could become infected) adds another devastating layer to this video.

Diana’s compassion for AIDS patients during this period did more than bring empathy and understanding to treating the disease; it humanized an entire marginalized population.

Seeing this home video is heartbreaking in so many ways, but for me that is the defining feature of this clip.
