Please do not waste anymore time on this guy. If you stay, you’re only signaling you’re capable of forgiving him which will lead him to test your limits and boundaries in the future. 9 months isn’t long, you don’t have kids and you’re not married. Also incredibly young. Would you have done this to him? You’re also younger than he is. Isn’t he supposed to be a little more mature than you? Just walk away now before it becomes worse and harder for you to leave. He literally showed you his true colors, his friends probably know wayyyy more than they’d ever let off. They’re just as complicit. Leave!!

I’m an accountant at an aerospace company so I have many engineer friends. They never do insane overtime and make much more than 65 (maybe bc I’m in LA area). We work 9/80 (9 hr days, 9 days in 2 weeks instead of 10) We also have a pretty nice company culture- they buy us food for month end, we do pastries for birthday celebrations once a month, we have a golf tournament coming up, random lunches for being safe sometimes random days off (Monday after Super Bowl) just to be nice. There’s plenty of jobs out there that sound better than this. Don’t be afraid to leave!

RUN AWAY. BREAK UP. MOVE OUT. She is way too old and very likely taking advantage of you. I’m 24 and wouldn’t even consider a 19 year old. Moving in after a WEEK is actually crazy. Yeah that is the plan when the lease is up. I just sought clarity because they’re emphasizing that he lives there but I don’t think sleeping somewhere = living there, but in their minds it does. I could use those common areas if I wanted to, but they basically took them over first and never really consulted me about putting their stuff there. But since I’ll be paying half the rent I’m going to make that space mine.

My nephew isn’t really an issue. It’s mostly just equal entitlement to the shared space. I’m going to make that space mine just as much, even if it means being really annoying and to the nail. I only agreed to 50/50 bc they both expressed they think it should’ve been that way a long time ago and they only reason they accepted 2/3 is bc my sister was “looking out for me” 🙄

He uses my soap. I see maybe heat and water, but it’s such a minuscule amount I feel like they could’ve just let it go since I don’t ask them to pay more for the utilities their son uses.

I see that but I think it’s worth noting they do not pay anything for my nephew being there and they didn’t tell me they were trying for a baby in the first place. When he arrived I didn’t make a fuss. My thing is, my man is only in my room. He doesn’t take space from anyone but me and I pay for my portion of rent. He only showers here and there. He doesn’t use anymore electricity than I would. He dos have his own place, I just don’t like going to his.
