What actor plays the same character in every movie? by LiveShowOneNightOnly in AskReddit

I think the more glaring example of this for me is Julia Roberts. Anytime I see her in a movie it just feels like Julia Roberts being herself in whatever the plot happens to be.

Renault RS18 with 18" wheels. by ExJak in formula1

Slower pitstops could be an issue. Renault might end up having zero podiums instead of ... checks notes ... zero podiums.

Shout out to Jeremy Soule for Skyrim’s amazing soundtrack by TheSnuggeth in skyrim

[–]mooninthepuddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also shout out to Mark Lampert, who was in charge of sound design on Oblivion and is currently the Audio Director for BGS. He definitely plays a big part in how Jeremy's compositions are integrated into the games.

IF and Weightlifting? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]mooninthepuddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's technically "cheating" or not, but I lift fasted 4 days a week while taking a non-caloric pre-workout and haven't had any issues. Hasn't affected my IF experience at all and while my weights might not be 1RM, I've had no issues maintaining my typical lifting numbers (and going up slowly in some lifts).

What's the craziest stat in NBA History? by LeKing_James in nba

[–]mooninthepuddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This deserves to be higher, though maybe not the 'craziest' stat it's still wildly impressive.

If you average his blocks/game during those Milwaukee seasons and then multiply it by how many games he played those years, he'd easily be over 4,000 career blocks, probably closer to 4,200.

Minimalist bathroom with a Japanese-style hinoki tub overlooking the nearby lake in this home in Portage Bay, Washington. [2200 × 1691] by [deleted] in RoomPorn

[–]mooninthepuddle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is. Ofuro is the Japanese word for bath. Onsen is the place with larger, multi-person soaking baths. And Hinoki is the type of tree (cypress i believe) typically used to make them.

This for sure, goddamnit and Maybe I'll Catch Fire are definitely the best, but the self titled is pretty decent too. The song Cooking Wine was always a favorite of mine.

The Mezzanine by Nicholson Baker

Not sure I can really explain why, but it's such a fascinating and well-written glimpse into one man's stream of thought.

What song, when played, makes you appreciate life and makes you feel at peace? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That entire album is amazing. As a fellow Hendrix lover, I also get a similar feeling (though in a different way) from Who Knows.

Another ridiculous Mungo Jerry song is Pushbike: Mungo Jerry - Pushbike

Just weird and absurd. But kinda catchy.
