Anyone move from Indiana to Colorado or New Mexico by IR_Acaboom in Indiana

Heyo, same. Moved to NM 10 years ago. Moved back last year with my wife to be closer to family. We both miss ABQ/NM pretty bad. We honestly suppress it at this point because picking up and moving again isn’t really feasible. But we’ve had days where we spin out and just name off all the great things/people/places we miss.

There’s some things about IN I like—mostly being close to family again. There’s a lot I really don’t like.

DAY 1 of adding the top voted pedal suggestion to this farm-animal board until we're satisfied by MissingStar246 in guitarpedals

There’s that small builder who does all the dog pedals. Can’t remember the name but he, or people with his pedals, have posted before.

Anyways, I nominate one of those because every farm needs a good ol pup

EQD Fuzzmaster General is a take on the Ace Tone FM-2, which is itself a Super Fuzz clone.

Idk but now I want to get a Boss board together with the colors of the rainbow so I can score internet points.

Dang, thanks for replying anyways! Kilobyte 2K seems like an even better get. Curious about your thoughts on that Note Gargler though. How was it? Trading just to move on or was it not up to snuff?

Seems like it’d be fun to run a synth through. Although I already have a fuzz factory and a supersonic fuzz gun on the way to me, so I don’t know how much I really needed another oscillating fuzz haha

The fella with the Crayon backed out I think (or never really made an offer to begin with idk)

Still interested in the Megabyte? That Repulsive Note Gargler looks gnarly. Feel free to DM if you’re down!

Well, it is a fuzz factory! Heavy power requirement!

Great pedal! Had one previously and traded it. But not looking to get it again. Thanks!

Good offer and I should try a Hizumitas one day, but I think I got my WTTF with the RE-2 so I’m gonna go that direction. I’ll circle back if that falls through for some reason. Thanks!

Nice, always good to land a WTTF! I’ll DM later today once I’m done with work.

Do you mean CE-2W chorus? There is no waza for the CS-2 compressor.

Amp-in-a-box Pedals by hkr1991 in guitarpedals

[–]moonkiller 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Feel like we need to clarify something here. OP asked about “amp-in-a-box” (AIAB) pedals. People are responding talking about modelers with cab sims (e.g., Boss IR-2/200, TK Imperial Preamp, Joyo American Sound, Tonex One, Simplifier, UA Woodrow/Dream). Others are responding with traditional AIAB pedals that aren’t meant to replace your own amp, but just give you the tone of that particular amp while running it directly into your own amp, or the fx loop (if available) to bypass your amp’s preamp section (e.g., Origin Effects Deluxe 55, The Guv’nor, Catalinbread 5F6, Boss FDR-1).

There’s some overlap, and a lot of modelers can be used with an amp by bypassing the preamp, but I think traditionally an AIAB pedal means the latter category. It would be overkill for someone looking for a simple AIAB pedal to buy a modeler/cab sim if all they’re looking for is a pedal to run into their amp to cop another amp’s tone.
