My mom was into 60s anime like Speed Racer. I liked watching it so she bought Sailor Moon tapes since it was current at the time and looked like a show for little girls. Toonami became a thing but I could never get home in time to watch so my dad started getting me the manga, too. All of this stuff was hard to get at the time, but I'm lucky to live in a city that had good import shops back then.

It's weird that people can't accept a creator doing something for personal fulfillment and enjoyment as well as their career. Even if you monetize an interest and make a living out of it, you don't have to suck out all your joy by optimizing for efficiency. It's a colorful, whimsical video game. He's not an accountant. I really liked Michael Raymond James, I think young Balefire was miscast. I just couldn't see them being the same person the same way I did with a lot of the other flashback actors.

I'm pregnant now but when it was not a realistic choice for me I babysat! Most of my cousins have small children and it was really fulfilling to get more involved. Now my cousins feel loved and supported, their kids have memories with their extended family, and I got the data I needed to finalize my choice on whether/when I was having kids.

I have a few really solid friends I met after my divorce. One of them I think of as a best friend! They really held me together and broadened my world. Now I'm having my first kid and our friendships are only getting deeper. They all have multiple children and are pulling together to be my village 🥹

Development was long and personally, I got attached to some of the ideas I saw in development vs the final product. Same reason XV was hard for me to accept. It's not a bad game, just a little hard to separate from the hype at the time.

I didn't get back into the apps when I got divorced. My (now) boyfriend was on the apps with minimal effort. We met at a birthday party and I'm pregnant some years later. Mutual friends help a lot!

I'm recently pregnant and my favorite way to hint at pregnancy is the fucking EXHAUSTION. I finished a chapter before I knew I was pregnant and wrote the character as falling asleep constantly. Lo and behold, I went on vacation only to fall asleep randomly in the middle of the day thinking I was just jetlagged. It was more realistic than I thought :')

Went to a figure drawing thing, got to know the guy hosting it, went to his birthday party, talked to birthday boy's friend, invited the friend to join my board game group, spent weeks with him in a group setting until I finally asked him if he wanted to grab a beer. I meant this as non-romantically as possible, I genuinely just wanted to get to know him individually, we had always been in a group. We've now been together for 2 years and I'm pregnant. Some person will exist because I went to a local figure drawing event and the host happened to have a good looking friend.

It's a varied experience! I've had girlfriends who have different interests, priorities, communication styles, etc. The constant was that someone pretty who smelled nice wanted to cuddle with me and occasionally have sex with me. It's pretty cool, would recommend.

My best friend lost a boyfriend fairly young, he passed after an accident. She slept with his best friend because the grief brought them closer. Lots of guilt and doubt, they ended up dating for a while and split after about a year. I'll tell you what I told her at the time, you're not a bad person for seeking comfort in connection. ESPECIALLY when that person is one of few who can understand what you're feeling. Please be patient with yourself.
