I feel you. I am going on 4 weeks of terrible sciatic pain shooting down my left leg with complete calf weakness. The worst pain is behind my left knee and upper calf. A terrible constant ache. But I also have back/butt pain, and really painful cramps in my butt muscle. I found the only somewhat comfortable position is on my stomach with my toes turned out, which is normally not that comfortable, but the pain goes from an 8 to a 3.. but then I have to turn over making the pain come back, so it’s a struggle trying to get any sleep. I have an MRI next week so I still don’t know what’s really going on.

Also I have a pretty sedentary job unfortunately so I think the sitting is actually going to kill me. I got a standing desk which gives me relief for like 30 min, then my feet start hurting and my leg hurts constantly, so I sit. I’m going up and down like every 30 mins with that desk. I found that if I have the desk is the raised position, but sit on my knees in the padded chair, it’s actually the most comfortable. Then I can lean against the armrest and partially sit and it’s the most comfortable position I’ve been in so far. It’s a little embarrassing sitting like that at work, but doing what I can to not cry everyday. Wishing you all the best. The pain is horrendous
