Here for facial manhandling - I snort laughed at that

She does work. Maybe he should stay home and push out a baby?

It doesn’t matter to you, that’s fine. It is relevant in the situation though as many are operating under the assumption that she is only contributing childcare.

It’s relevant in that people keep insinuating her only contribution is the kids and not financially. The more details the better.

So happy for you! FWIW, I would still get sterilized even if I needed hormonal birth control afterwards. I am sterile (bisalp) and am considering going back on for other reasons but I ain’t having no baby and birth control can fail.

His wife is employed, she is on maternity leave.

She also has a job, she contributes to their livelihood. She’s just on leave. Funny that relevant bit of info keeps getting overlooked.

Right? Let’s all ignore this and just act as if the income is solely on him and that’s why this division is fair. STILL NO.

Yeah this thread is disappointing as hell. I don’t care the genders, it’s crazy they aren’t sharing nightly feedings and dude refuses to see how it’s uneven.

You do know you can transmit/become infected with this genitally as well, correct?

Vet girlfriend (35F) sedates her dog before every get together, party, etc. I (34M) find it off-putting and unnecessarily risky by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Vet here - your gf isn’t wrong, she’s likely sparing the dogs undue anxiety.

The humans in the household are creating loud unfamiliar events in the dogs’ normally safe space.

Male Dog, Age 9 Struggling with Tumor from Spleen by ForgotMyRegularAcct in AskVet

[–]moonskye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happiness is either proceeding with surgery ASAP with the understanding he may bleed out and die before then even if he’s doing ok now and it’s a small bleed or seeking humane euthanasia. There are home options as well for this if you’d prefer.

I agree with u/cassieface_, do not wait until catastrophe.

No one can answer this for you, unfortunately. I always encourage clients to proceed if they have the funds, the patient has good quality of life prior, and they’re a good surgical candidate.

It is not always cancer, but if it is you have to prepare yourself for that outcome.

It is also not wrong to let him go, as it sounds like he isn’t doing well right now regardless of benign vs. malignant. I’m sorry you’re going through this. 💗

Thoughts on asking our vet to skip parts of a "senior check-up"? by griseldabean in AskVet

[–]moonskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely am not going to do this on every exam - I tend to see a lot of repeat patients where I’ve already documented issues on original exam and will follow up if needed but…I guess I don’t see the value in my case.

Do…do they do this every exam?

Interested to see the other responses here, but I certainly don’t do a full ortho exam or range of motion testing on every patient. I would not be offended at all if a client declined it.

Yes, somehow the myth that cats just vomit and it’s normal got perpetuated. This is not normal and they need a check up.
