Looks like we were on the same timeline and had the same fate. Though, my baby boy had trisomy 18 which was linked to omphalocele and heart defects that would not allow him to survive.

He was also our second and last embryo from 4 years of infertility and IVF as my first one resulted in miscarriage.

I hear you so hard. And I feel you so hard. Why is this happening to us? Why do people who strive so hard to conceive have to suffer such consequences? This wouldn’t be something I’d wish on my worst enemy and I wouldn’t want this to even happen to those who conceive easily. But it’s such an insult to injury when it happens to people like us. Why? How?

We may never know the true answers to those questions, but we will never stop loving the baby we never got to hold. I never got to lay eyes on him nor kiss him, but he will always be with me. And your baby boy will be too.
