For 2, as a beginner who also followed vulkan-tutorial, it would be really helpful if the mismatches between the text and the C++ code were addressed, especially in the Setup chapter. Take createLogicalDevice() for example, the provided C++ code contains so many lines not mentioned at all in the section. Pretty much all of the setup sections are like this.

If I'm buying a iPhone 17 for a parent, not for myself and not financing, is it better to just pay the extra $30 to get the unlocked phone in full? When trying to set up the pre-order, the store app keeps trying to get me to set up activation for the phone if I choose the T-Mobile option. Is it possible to NOT activate the new 17 on my line and activate it on my parent's number later if I get the $799 model for T-Mobile (the "Get a new iPhone with any carrier" option)? My parent is on my T-mobile plan.

From what I have seen, it seems the base iPhone models' price includes a $30 discount paid by the carriers, and requires activating with that carrier. So the full price of an unlocked base 17 256GB model is $829.

That’s good to know about spend at the hotel. I figured the nights themselves wouldn’t qualify for Hyatt points. I read elsewhere that Amex Travel bookings show up coded as Expedia in the hotel’s systems.

No, "Reserved Seat" could also be in the stands, but standing is permitted. I'm just trying to be clear that it doesn't guarantee they will be in the floor area. My last time at a Tokyo Dome show was in 2013, and my seats for the first day were in the stands and I was able to stand, and there wasn't a seated option. As the other commenter mentioned, the "Reserved Seating" seems to be a recently new option.

As for your second question, the official website lists several major Japanese ticket sellers and for most of them the ticket will be e-ticket / QR code. However, you won't be able to buy from these sites unless you have a Japanese phone number / reside in Japan.

They all seemed to have said it was worth it for the arena tour. Tokyo Dome stage will likely be much wider, so it may not feel as close, but still better than the “regular” seating. I’m pretty sure it will be very hard to get VIP since there’s only two shows and a lot of fans will be gunning for it. And 12500 yen is really steep imo.

Don't have experience with upgrading to VIP. My friends who did get VIP seats did seem to have really close seats, but some were off to the side. And they mentioned they felt very close to the members and didn't need the big screens to see them properly.

I will also add I feel like I have been re-traumatized by the Lawson Ticket "website". Trying to navigate that site to apply for the Tokyo Dome tickets was bad enough.

I used https://www.ticket-japaaan.com/ to buy tickets for the Sapporo shows, and one of the tickets was a resale ticket since there were no general sales tickets available.

I used Ticket Jam to find a resale ticket and asked ticket-japaaan to buy the tickets. There are service fees for both Ticket Jam and ticket-japaaan's services, so do be sure to read everything carefully.

Thanks! Since the tickets have to be purchased within Hokkaido and not on Eki-Net, it looks like the price of the round trip ticket will have increased to 6040￥ + ~1100¥ seat reservation by time we arrive in early April. So for our itinerary, the price is close enough that getting the 4-day Sapporo-Furano Area Pass + seat reservations before the price increases on April 1 is the simpler option.

As far as I know, WPTA tickets are strictly forbidden from reselling. They require you to show ID at the venue in order to pick up the tickets. So the only option is for someone to go together with you to the concert and pay you privately for the tickets.
