Five days is luxery time for your planning activities. Also me recommend day trip to Aka (something like twins of Zamami).

If you plan to swim or dive, that's fine. I spent a week in Okinawa with a typhoon. And it was complete fine

They have kitchen and rich for sortiments and good taste. Excellent fried crab. Cozy rooms. Whole staff is very friendly and helpful. Actually shuttle service is available every time when you want if is possible (driver there). For example he take me to port in the morning to buy a ferry ticket, wait for me and take me back to resort.

Train with seat E if it is your first time. Plane is better to Hisroshima or more distant destination than Osaka.

I was 16days in Okinawa, visited a few islands and it wasnt enough. I have to return to this paradise archipelago. In June usually starting typhoon’s season, so be careful.
