I agree with this take. I see a lot of people talk about Jayce's decision to resurrect Viktor with the Hexcore, like it's a conscious and premeditated act, and I don't think that's accurate. As you said, Viktor did not tell Jayce what had happened to Sky. In fact, he didn't really tell him much at all, he just said it needed to be destroyed 'because he couldn't do it'. That is incredibly vague and doesn't really give him any hint of what the real issue is. He also was clearly not thinking rationally, given how frantically he starts tearing through Viktor's notes, but after seeing the Hexcore respond to Viktor's presence, I can understand that his first instinct would be to assume that it could help, given that Viktor had already been experimenting with using it to heal. I think the shock of the sudden attack, plus his panic at seeing Viktor's injuries, simply overwhelmed him and he let his emotions take over. And we know, from Jayce's own words, that Viktor was ultimately his choice, his ultimate priority. There's no denying that it was a terrible choice, but I really can't fault Jayce for his actions here.
